Filled with businesses, restaurants, shops, residences, culture, and government, Frisco Square is a focal point for life in one of America’s fastest growing communities.
Early in Frisco’s rapid-growth phase, the city had the foresight to develop a town square that can serve as a gathering place, home to city government, and host to a myriad of events, businesses, and facilities that make Frisco an example of what a modern mid-sized city with small-town charm looks like.
Whether it’s one of the big events, a casual date night, taking part in city politics, learning Frisco history, or just playing on the lawn, Frisco Square is where the action is!
Events in Frisco Square
Every year, Frisco Square plays host to several major events.
Christmas in the Square is the single biggest event to happen every year as the entirety of Frisco Square gets decked out in lights synchronized to Christmas music. The annual event will have in excess of 600,000 visitors each year.
Christmas in the Square also features carriage rides, a Christmas tree lot, parachuting Santa, ice rink, and other seasonal festivities.
People from all over North Texas come to Christmas in the Square, and hanging out there is one of the best ways to get into the holiday spirit.
Arts in The Square happens every spring (usually late March or early April) and is an outdoor art festival featuring artists from around North Texas including many Frisco-based artists. If you’re looking for an original art piece for your home or office, this is a great event to attend. If you’re an artist, it’s a don’t miss event!

Frisco Freedom Fest happens in and around Frisco Square on July 4th and includes concerts, kids and family activities and North Texas’ largest fireworks display over Toyota Stadium. It’s the kind of 4th of July festival that helps Frisco keeps it’s small town feel despite how fast it’s growing.
Trick or Treat in the Square is Frisco Square’s annual Halloween event. Children walk the square and “trick or treat” the businesses in Frisco Square.
Frisco Farmers Market runs every year from late spring through early fall. The vendors at Frisco Farmers Market offer meat, produce, sauces, jewelry, and other products from local vendors. The Frisco Farmers Market frequently sells out before its scheduled closing time of 1pm, so we recommend you get there early!
The Frisco Community Parade every November celebrates the city Frisco, including fire and police vehicles, clowns, homecoming/forthcoming royalty of high schools, team mascots, Frisco’s professional sports teams, floats, and marchers.
