Spring is in the air and everyone wants to be outside as much as possible. This time of year we look forward to using the parks and trails more often, attending outdoor sports events, and listening to live music on a great patio. For many Frisco residents, perhaps what we most look forward to the Frisco StrEATS Gourmet Food Truck and Music Festival!
Now in its 8th year, this firm Frisco favorite will take place in the Rail District on May 11, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
The Festival is hosted by the Downtown Merchants Association and presented by Title Sponsor Nack Development, the boutique real estate developer responsible for several mixed-use projects underway in the Rail District (The Tower at The Rail, The Patios at The Rail, The Calaboose and new performing arts destination, Nack Theater).

The event will benefit Frisco Family Services and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County.
If you need a little convincing as to what’s so fantastic about a food truck festival…we can help with that! As a proud partner of Frisco StrEATS, Lifestyle Frisco presents…
5 Reasons to Love Food Trucks
- Food trucks bring gourmet food to the masses! (It’s a little bit like Legacy Hall, but closer to home.)
- Food trucks are fun for the whole family! It can hard to find one restaurant that satisfies both young and mature pallets with varying likes and dislikes. Dad can have Cuban American, Mom can have Vietnamese, the kids can have gourmet quesadillas…
Food trucks have a knack for creating community. There’s something special about congregating outside with neighbors who share your love for good food, good people, and good music.
- Food trucks are delicious. These are not hot dog stands. These are legitimate Chefs with incredible talent!
- With an abundance of new restaurants in Frisco, it’s clear we like to eat around here. Food trucks are foodie culture at its finest!

For the first time ever Frisco StrEATS has added a Wine Garden! Landon Winery McKinney at Magnolia Terrace will just be a few short yards from the main area of the event on the corner of 4th Street and Pecan featuring a more intimate environment away from the hustle of the festival area.
Sit under the shade trees, sample amazing wines, and listen to acoustic music from musical acts like Taylor DeLatte and Patrick Casey Band. Before, after, or perhaps mid-way through your tour of the StrEATS food trucks and vendors, take a break at the Landon Winery McKinneyWine Garden at Magnolia Terrace.
(Note: You will also be able to purchase Landon Winery McKinney wines in the main area of the festival next to the beer garden.)
What Else is Happening at the Festival?

The Children’s area, sponsored by Crafted, will provide entertainment for the kiddos, including face painting, trampoline fun, photo-ops, and a special woodcraft just for mom on Mother’s Day!
The Live Music lineup, sponsored by Frisco Arts and Peak Roofing and Construction includes great popular bands like Wooden Nickel (12:30 pm – 2:15 pm), Desperado (Eagles cover band, 2:45 pm – 4:15 pm), and Le Freak (4:45 pm – 6:30 pm).
We hear that many of our favorite Frisco businesses will be represented, such as Tumbleweed TexStyles, Bittersweet Ivy, Lillian Welch, J+K Kids Supply, CrossFit Lowe, Countdown2Escape, and many more. (Don’t miss Countdown2Escape’s kid-friendly scavenger hunt!)
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, grab some of your favorite food and then sit and relax taking in all the festival has to offer.
