In my youth, Forever 21 was exactly what a generation of girls needed. On-trend fashion on the cheap.
Many, like me, have become more aware of how fast fashion not only travels quickly from the runway to the mall but also just as quickly to the garbage. Yes, it’s great to always be on-trend, but trendy items also go out of fashion pretty quickly and it isn’t long until the piece I was excited about is hiding in the back of my closet, never again to see the light of day.
Waste No More
In an effort to be part of the solution, I’ve explored tons of options including online marketplaces like Depop, Poshmark, and thredUP. The more I explored online, the more I realized we have amazing options right here in Frisco.
In this time when fast fashion is controversial and sustainability is making a comeback, Frisco’s clothing resale shops are a goldmine of standard, timeless pieces.
There’s never been a better time to buy gently used clothes in Frisco.
As the patron saint of thrifting, Macklemore, would say, “I am stunting and flossing and saving my money and I’m hella happy.”
Luckily, as Frisco has grown, so have the resale options. It’s time to scour the racks and find the diamonds hidden within these lesser-known, local retail gems.
