Committed to Our Community
For more than 25 years, Frisco Family Services has been committed to helping members of the Frisco and Frisco ISD community, who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs, improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency.
Frisco Family Services provided assistance for nearly 4,000 individuals this past year, of which 52% are children and seniors. A life-changing crisis, such as serious illness or injury, job loss, death or divorce, can happen to anyone at any time and often results in destabilizing a family.
Frisco Family Services Food Pantry, which is the only community food pantry, provided 592,179 meals to our neighbors last year and is the most utilized of the many programs offered. Clients can shop in a grocery store-like setting for the food they know their family can eat. Frisco Family Services also offers a mobile food pantry.
In addition to nutritious food choices including perishables, meat, dairy and fresh produce – paper goods, hygiene and household products are also available. This keeps families from being forced to choose between keeping food on the table, keeping a roof over their heads, or purchasing life-saving medications.
Emergency financial assistance, educational and skill-set workshops, and Seasonal Programs, which include the Summer Lunch Program, Back2School Fun Fair, Thanksgiving Meal distribution, Holiday Store Program and a Holiday Social & Celebration for seniors are provided.
