When Jessica Chandler, founder of The Sculpting Shoppe approached me about doing an article I have to admit I was skeptical. But we’re in favor of promoting Frisco businesses of all types, so we sat down with Jessica to learn more.
I’m sure many of you are also skeptical when it comes to the promise of any treatment that targets specific areas of unwanted fat. From what we’ve seen, the results are pretty compelling.
Keep in mind, there’s more going on here than just fat loss, one of the biggest benefits is tightening of the skin in treated areas.
But let’s back up…
Last July Jessica had her 3rd child gaining 78 lbs in the process. With a friends wedding just 3 months later, Jessica wanted to look and feel her best knowing she would be seeing a lot of friends and family.
Two months later, with out dietary change or exercise (she couldn’t yet), Jessica lost 68 lbs.
As a former NPC fitness competitor Jessica is no stranger to eating well and putting in the work to stay fit. But that also meant she understood the toll having children puts on a body, and after #3, the time it would take to get back in shape. So the hunt began for options to trim down as fast as possible.
That’s when Jessica stumbled upon infrared lipo. But don’t get too caught up on the name… there are no needles or anything that breaks the skin.
The way it works is simple and painless. Small paddles attach to the area you want treated. Infrared light from the paddles alters the permeability of fat cells below the surface of the skin. The cellular contents then seep out and get swept away by the lymphatic system.
The procedure is non-invasive, takes one hour, and feels like having a heating pad on your skin.
The infrared part of the procedure takes about 20 minutes. The second step uses vacuum suction on the skin to help tightening. You’ll then spend 20 minutes on a vibration plate to stimulate the lymphatic system. As an added bonus you’ll burn about 200 calories during the process.
Will this help my …
There are a few primary areas that are most common for treatment including legs, thighs, arms, waist, and buttocks.
The Sculpting Shoppe also offers photo mask treatments to reduce wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead as well as a non-invasive breast lift that gives about 1 inch of lift.
As a rule, you should maintain the result you get as long as you keep your lifestyle about the same. But if that lifestyle is a fast-food drive through everyday for lunch you might want to reset your expectations.
Who is this for?
Jessica says that the majority of their customer base is female but they do treat men and women. Customers include new moms, fitness competitors who need a little spot treatment, and men that have more fat tissue in their chest than normal, often as a result from hormone or other therapy.
How long does it take and how much does it cost?
Each treatment lasts about an hour, including time on the machine, vacuum on the skin, and standing on the vibration plate.
The recommended protocol is 8 treatments over 4 weeks for the best results in one area. Less than that and you won’t get the greatest benefit.
The price for the 8 treatment plan is $599.
What about the results?
You’ve been seeing the pictures throughout this post. I don’t know that there is such a thing as “typical” since everyones body is different, and no two people will have exactly the same need or be starting from the same place. But the examples we have speak pretty well for the results and should give you some idea of what to expect.
Again, Jessica lost 68lbs within 2 months of having her last baby without diet or exercise. The breast lift is seeing about a 1-inch in lift, and the wrinkle reduction appears to shave several years off your appearance.
Keys to success: You have to go consistently and commit to the 8 sessions focused on one area. As always drink lots of water and have realistic expectations (i.e. stay off the cheeseburger a day diet).
It takes 3 – 4 treatments before you should expect to see the results kicking in.
If you have a trouble spot or two and are looking for a way to augment your weight loss efforts give The Sculpting Shoppe a try. Jessica is very friendly and will be happy to answer all your questions before getting started.
