In this episode of Hustle & Pro, we sit down with our friend at Frisco ISD, Matt Wixon. The Facilitator for Athletics and Communications for FISD, Matt has a fascinating background in sports writing, covering Super Bowls, College sports, and more.
We talk about everything from Matt’s experience interviewing Charles Barkley and Dirk Nowitzki to his take on the scope of Frisco as a strong sports district. We hit on tackle football and discuss the issue of safety and parental choices to play or not to play.
On the personal side, a rare baseball injury at age 15 that affected his growth plate led Matt to discover tennis. That experience shaped his athletic journey and now, his own kids’ paths and goals for sports as well. He’s a proud baseball dad and an Esports dad, too!
Enjoy this week’s episode with Matt Wixon.
