Join us as we talk to former Frisco ISD athlete, Cole Starnes, about the lesson-filled journey from high school football to college-level football.
Following injuries during a rough Junior year at Wakeland High School, it took a big Senior year to make playing in college even possible. Now a running back for Lamar University, Cole shares how hard work and family support helped him to achieve his goals.
Now, as he looks back to his high school career, Cole sees the differences in his physical body – muscle, body fat – and how much it’s changed since he’s been at Lamar.
The mental changes he’s experienced are notable as well. He feels mentally tougher than he ever thought he could be. No excuses. It’s not going to be easy. Keep pushing.
Enjoy Cole’s story, including what special recipient earned the first Cole Starnes Sprinter Award.
