“Don’t you want a CUPCAKE?”
The question is a cure-all. I can be having a rough day and those five words can unconsciously sweep a smile across my face. Three things in life are guaranteed to make people happy… holding golden retriever puppies, when the Starbucks barista spells your name right, and cupcakes.

So, when you ask me if I want a cupcake, you can bet your bottom dollar the answer is going to be yes!
Now, there are a bunch of places in Frisco to get a delicious treat, but my favorite has got to be “Fluellen Cupcakes (formerly Dimples).” Located conveniently on the main strip in Frisco Square, near the corner of where Main Street meets Coleman, and just walking distance from Toyota Stadium, it’s the perfect place to hang out with friends, or even grab and go.
They have a couple of parking spots right outside their door reserved for quick pickups, and a whole lot out back behind the exterior of the building.
If you want to enjoy your cupcake in-store, the interior is lively and has fun portraits hanging on the wall. As soon as I entered, I felt elated. The environment was warm and inviting, and seconds after I entered a staff member greeted me with a fresh, smiling face behind the counter eager to help me pick out my treat.
Fluellen Cupcakes
As I approached the register, I encountered the best part of the entire store…the cupcake display. Made of glass it delicately exhibits the detailed icing on the beautiful, and tasty, cakes. A visual cornucopia of frosting and cake!
With 17 different flavors, and only $4.00 a piece, Fluellen is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth! The black velvet cake is a chocolate lover’s dream. It’s chocolate cake baked with chocolate chips, dressed with chocolate buttercream, and topped with chocolate sprinkles! Could it get better than that?
Fluellen also offers the ever-so-popular red velvet cake, classic carrot cake, fresh strawberry cake, and my personal favorite … wedding cake. If you don’t know what to get, their wedding cake cupcake is absolutely heavenly! It’s a light and fresh white cake topped with a deliciously sweet vanilla buttercream. There’s a reason it’s one of their signature flavors! You will not be disappointed.
Besides cupcakes, Fluellen now sells hand-dipped cake pops for $2.00 each. So if you just want a small indulgence, it’s perfect for you.
