Although the The Bar Method location is in Plano in the LakeSide Market Center, the workout is so results-oriented, I have to share this fitness secret I used to prepare for my recent wedding. With only two studios in the entire state of Texas, The Bar Method Plano workout is an interesting combination of ballet and Pilates to create a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy, and the intense pace of interval training. It’s a surprisingly powerful sweat-inducing exercise format that quickly and safely reshapes and elongates muscles.
After regularly attending The Bar Method classes for 4 months, I achieved:
- Firmer, more elongated muscles
- Reduced body fat
- High muscle definition in the chest, upper arms and upper legs
- Improved posture
- A lifted seat and defined hamstrings
The Bar Method integrates the fat-burning format of interval training with muscle-shaping isometrics to quickly and safely reshape the entire body. It’s a non-impact, one-hour workout that targets all the major muscle groups and improves posture. The result is a recognizable “Bar Method body” featuring sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat, and elongated thighs.
Opening the 50th store for the franchise, TheBar Method Plano owner, Marin Van Vleck, developed a passion for the class as soon as she discovered it while living in Los Angeles over six years ago. She was invited to become an instructor and received her training and certification from The Bar Method founder Burr Leonard. Marin then taught at three busy southern California studios (Hollywood, West L.A., and Pasadena). She was selected to represent The Bar Method in a full-page editorial in US Magazine last year and can be seen in The Bar Method DVD, “Dancer’s Body Advanced Workout.”
