The Londoner has been replaced by the British Lion.
Whether you’re looking for a place to hang after the game or just a place to watch one, check out The Londoner at the corner of Main St. and Dallas Parkway.
Residents and visitors to Frisco all hang at The Londoner. There’s little doubt it’s proximity to Pizza Hut Park has to do with that, but it’s also because The Londoner has character, good food and drink, and a fun atmosphere.
The Londoner feels welcoming as soon as you walk in the door and delivers on the promise of a good English pub. It’s decked out in lots of dark wood, big screens and cozy little enclaves. Don’t feel like sitting at the bar? Find a dartboard or shoot a game of pool… this is an English pub after all!
They boast a good selection of beers on tap (25+) including some locals. If you’re not into beer, they have a full bar including a respectable scotch selection, a few wine selections, and for those hair-of-the-dog mornings, a tasty Bloody Mary.
The food is good, and you’ll get a large variety of choices including many traditional dishes from across the pond (like Shepherds Pie). They also have some of the best fish & chips in town. When I want good bar grub, this is one of my favorites in Frisco. It’s also a great place to grab a drink before catching a movie across the street at Cinemark Theater.
If you happen to be into Ping Pong, they have weekly Ping Pong night on Mondays and you can enjoy happy hour specials all night if you’re playing. You might also get a chance to be crowned “Butthole of the Month.” Don’t ask. I have no idea, but I’m pretty sure I don’t need to play Ping Pong to win that award.
If you happen to be in the food service industry, or you’re an industry groupie, swing by on Sunday night for Industry Night from 4pm – Close. The Londoner is particularly inviting if you’re into watching Soccer, though you will catch other sports on the big screens particularly when Soccer is not in season.
