In recent years, deviled eggs have experienced a resurgence, transforming from a classic picnic staple to a trendy menu item in many upscale restaurants.
Chefs both pro and amateur have realized the humble deviled egg can be anything you want it to be. They’re putting their creative spins on the traditional recipe first made famous by your grandmother at Easter brunch, infusing them with unique flavors and innovative ingredients.
Frisco boasts several restaurants that serve up some of the best “deviled eggs 2.0” you’ll ever taste. Here are the top spots to indulge in these delectable, shareable bites.
6959 Lebanon Rd Suite 110, Frisco, TX 75034
Open for brunch, lunch, Happy Hour, or dinner, this upscale yet casual New American-inspired bistro is a Frisco favorite. Enjoy twinkling lights on the patio or the brightly colored murals inside. The atmosphere at J. Theodore is hard to beat. On the Happy Hour menu, you’ll find “Bacon and Eggs” – which sounds like basic breakfast until you look closer. It’s deviled eggs with candied bacon on top. Decadent and delish.
6765 Winning Drive Suite 830, Frisco, TX 75034
Heirloom Haul, the restaurant and tea room inside of Flea Style, is open and airy, with funky curated art lining the walls and everybody’s favorite statement piece, Stevie Nicks, the vintage Heirloom Haul trailer fixed at the end of the dining area.
The menu doesn’t disappoint, either. Think light and healthy, from salads to sandwiches to charcuterie. Listed among the many delish shareables on the menu are the Southern Deviled Eggs. Heirloom’s scratch-made recipe features a touch of Frank’s Hot Sauce – just enough to make them a tad more devilish!

Bottled in Bond Cocktail Parlour
5285 Dallas Pkwy #420, Frisco, TX 75034
Stepping into Bottled in Bond is almost like stepping into a history book, or at least a vintage-style bar in downtown New York or Chicago. The intimate lounge has speakeasy vibes and a perfect balance of old favorites and modern menu twists.
While the cocktails and spirits are a big part of what makes Bottled in Bond so unique, the food doesn’t disappoint. Here, the deviled eggs feature black peppered bacon and smoked paprika. Order them with some Blue Crab Croquettes, the Andria Meatballs, or one of the many other sophisticated starters on the menu.

111 W Virginia St., McKinney, TX 75069
Although this gem isn’t found in Frisco (yet), we think it’s worth the drive. Deviled Egg Co. says they’re the first company in the world to specialize in gourmet deviled eggs. Fact or fiction, they’re doing something awesome over there. The menu features many elaborate and flavorful options that can cater to an array of dietary restrictions.
You’ll have to see their menu images to fully comprehend the creativity. So far, we’re drooling over the Walking Taco, the Cali Roll, the Crab Rangoon, and the Buffalo Blue Cheese. Here’s the only catch: Deviled Egg Co. isn’t a sit-down spot. You can order online for pick up or have them shipped to you.
4005 Preston Road, Ste 512, Plano, TX 75093
If you’re willing to drive a smidge south of 121, you can enjoy live music, craft pizzas, and hand-crafted cocktails at Taverna Rossa. First things first, however – try the Chef’s Damn Good Deviled Eggs from the Small Plates and Shares menu. They feature a new deviled egg at the beginning of every month showcasing unique and funky concepts.
