NOTE: Coffee n’ Cream is now Mochas & Javas.
Morning doesn’t start until a cup of coffee is firmly in hand and the first precious sip goes down. There are few simple pleasures that match up to that warm, rich smell hinting at the first shot of caffeine needed to start the day.
Not everyone is as obsessed with coffee, but we can all get behind supporting the businesses in our community. The owners of Coffee n Cream, John and Mary Ennen, take supporting local businesses as seriously as we do. So, for the perfect combination of getting your java fix and supporting a local businesses, we encourage you to stop by Coffee n Cream at the southeast corner of Eldorado and Legacy.
Come Inside
Inside is a beautifully decorated cozy lounge with oversized chairs, tables, and free wifi. There is also a “kids” table in one corner under the coffee cup lamps that hang from the celling.
Everything from the stained cement floor to the hard wood trim and tiled backdrop create a comfortable place to get a little work done, meet with a friend, or just read a book and enjoy your coffee. The chalkboard signs are all beautifully designed by local artists as are the coffee cup lamps that overhang the kids table.
Creating the perfect environment comes as no surprise when you learn that owner Mary is also an interior designer who has clearly hit the nail on the head in here. There is also a semi-covered out-door seating area for those perfectly cool mornings or evenings.
The Coffee
Coffee n Cream always has fresh coffee brewing and receives a weekly shipment of coffee beans from Austin-based Cuvee’ Coffee.
This morning, I’m drinking the “mild” and it’s a smooth, sweet cup of coffee with little need to add anything into it. For those of you who are partial to espresso drinks, Coffee N Cream also has the expected line up of mochas, lattes and cappuccinos. And, if you really need your caffeine immediately, there is the Americano or straight shot of espresso.
Their “Java Chill” is touted as the best frappe ever among blended coffee drinks, and since Texas summers are anything but cool, they also have an array of iced espresso drinks.
Ice Cream
Since coffee isn’t for everyone, and during our hot summers something a little cooler is in order, they also serve up several flavors of Blue Bell ice cream in cups or waffle cones.
The Bakery
Coffee N Cream boasts an in-store bakery where they make pastries fresh every morning, and when they’re gone they’re gone (so get there early).
Beyond making sweet treats to go with your morning coffee, the bakery caters parties, creates beautiful wedding & birthday cakes, and makes everything fresh in-house.
With their focus on fresh and local, and 4 pastry chefs on staff, it’s no wonder Coffee N Cream has been the Winner of the Best Dessert at the Taste of Collin County 3 years in a row.
When it comes to coffee shops, you can’t get a better Frisco experience than Coffee N Cream. And ,with so much to love about this place, you might never want to patronize another big chain coffee shop again.
