Sharing Coffee and Community Across the Lone Star State
Nearly two decades ago, Mochas & Javas’ owner-operator Kevin Carswell and his family set out to create a comfortable gathering place where community members could connect and enjoy delicious coffee in a warm, welcoming environment.
He combined his passion for community outreach and a love of great coffee into the very first Mochas & Javas location in San Marcos, Texas. Kevin knew he wanted to keep great coffee at the heart of his business model. Instead of relying on bulk coffee suppliers from out of state, the Mochas & Javas team looked for high-quality, locally-sourced suppliers.
Kevin partnered with RC Beall of Texas Coffee Traders to create signature espresso and coffee blends you won’t find anywhere else.
Mochas & Javas’ longtime success comes from more than just great coffee. Kevin and his team have seen an outpouring of love and local support since opening the first Mochas & Javas location in 2003. Each coffee shop and cafe serves as a warm, welcoming place where customers know they can always enjoy exceptional customer service with a smile.
After over ten years of expansion across San Marcos, Kevin and his team opened their fifth location here in Frisco in 2017. Located on the corner of Eldorado and Legacy, Mochas & Javas’ Frisco location is open seven days a week to provide customers with piping hot (or ice-cold) coffee, teas, and blended drinks, plus pastries and other tasty food options.
Responsibly-Sourced Ingredients and Tasty Cafe Treats
Mochas & Javas partners with local vendors to create each pastry, sandwich, or snack with fresh ingredients that never contain high fructose corn syrup or other unhealthy additives. Unlike most chain coffee shops, Mochas & Javas stocks scratch-made products at each location, with close attention to detail, dietary needs, and seasonal flavors.
The Mochas & Javas team is always experimenting in the kitchen to upgrade classic menu offerings with new-and-improved flavors and ingredients. New menu items are added seasonally based on local ingredients, industry trends, and more.
In fact, Kevin mentioned that his team is currently prepping to roll out a brand new version of their Tuscan Turkey sandwich, complete with a brioche bun and fresh pesto aioli. (#ReadyforThanksgiving)
