Gerryl Krilic didn’t grow up as the star athlete. She wasn’t born to swim or bike or run. Asthma, allergies, and autoimmune disease aren’t ideal for athletics. It wasn’t until a friend talked her into trying out for Track in high school that her journey took off. It took off on foot as a runner, then she eventually built up to triathlons in her thirties.
At one point she told her husband, “I’ll lever do an Ironman. Those people are crazy.” Fast forward to 2015 and she earned the title Ironman.
Her passion for health and fitness took over. Now she’s the FriscoFIT City Ambassador teaching others how to live healthily. She does private and group health coaching, wellness services, nutrition workshops for families, and Prime Time Health. She’s also launching the FriscoFIT City Challenge in May 2019, including a virtual 5k, 10k and 21-day challenge.
Enjoy this episode where we explore Gerryl’s story about starting small, having goals, embracing the running community and that “It’s never too late to take charge of your life.”
