When you stop in for a bite at your favorite restaurant, there’s no denying that the food is the star. However, food isn’t the only part of a dining experience that’s important. For many of us, a commitment to excellent service and sustainable ingredients can take our next meal from simply delicious to absolutely delightful.
With a lifetime of experience in the restaurant industry and a personal passion for great food, Mike Luther and his wife Rae have brought their vision of a revolutionary restaurant experience to life in Frisco with UP Inspired Kitchen.
Finding Inspiration and Living It UP
Co-owner Mike’s journey into the world of fantastic food began long before Up Inspired Kitchen opened it’s doors to the public. Since he was just 15 years old, Mike has been working in restaurants, managing hospitality and guest experience. From casual spots to fine dining destinations, Mike’s dedication to creating successful work environments has shone through his work.
After years of working long hours and spending time away from his family, Mike and Rae decided it was time for a change. With four young boys in the house, the couple wanted to find a balance between work and family time in an industry they both enjoyed. They decided that a breakfast-lunch spot was the answer thanks to the flexible and realistic hours of operation that would allow both parents to spend quality time with their sons.
The next push for Mike and Rae came from their local gym. The husband and wife co-owners shared their passions for nutritious, responsibly sourced food choices that steered consumers away from GMOs and high fructose corn syrup in favor of cage-free eggs and locally grown produce.
It further inspired Mike and Rae to explore the importance of fueling their bodies for a full day of refreshing, natural energy. They learned the metabolic importance of feeding the human body, they also discovered the importance of feeding people’s souls. On April 26, 2017, UP Inspired Kitchen was born.
We wanted to create everyone’s happy place from the décor to the music to the staff that greets you with an ‘UP lifting’ smile ready to take care of all your needs. We wanted to inspire our guests to be their best selves, live UP to their greatest potential, and to recognize the power of gratitude.
A Step UP from the Competition
In the world of fast food and ultra-convenient prepackaged meals, the team at UP Inspired Kitchen wants readers to know that you don’t have to sacrifice nutrition to enjoy a quick, tasty meal.
UP’s fast-casual breakfast model focuses on a chef-driven, better-for-you menu that features fresh ingredients and unexpected flavor pairings that are sure to have you coming back for seconds. Choose from a variety of lighter breakfast fare like avocado toast and an Acaí Love bowl, or indulge in French Toast and UP Cakes.
UP truly offers something for everyone with eggs served eight ways, freshly inspired wraps and power bowls, and even a variety of gluten-free and dairy-free menu selections.
Coffee drinkers can delight in the restaurant’s wide selection of caffeinated cravings like Bullet Brew, Matcha Super Green Tea, and Golden Milk Latte. If you’re looking for further sippable selections, try a Buda juice, the Fuel UP smoothie or even a hot cup of immune-boosting bone broth, made from locally-sourced bones.
Sharing Good Food and Good Feelings
Although you place your order at the front counter, the guest experience at UP is second to none in the industry and makes this dining destination unique. The UP team works hard each and every day to ensure that guests feel welcomed and cared for, not just through the food but also through meaningful personal interactions and expert attention to detail.
Whether you stop in for an organic coffee to go or a sit-down meal with the family, you’re sure to leave UP with a full stomach and a full heart to match.
Mike and Rae strive to keep UP Inspired Kitchen on the leading edge of a recognizable menu movement that centers around honestly sourced food without processed ingredients and presenting it in a way that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Combine that with an environment that INSPIRES all to lift each other UP and you’ll see that this Frisco favorite is setting new and exciting trends in the world of food.
