Seager & Sons, a new 1970s-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar, is set to open on December 10, 2024 at The Boardwalk at Granite Park, our favorite waterside spot for casual eateries and bars at the border of Frisco and Plano. This 7,500-square-ft space aims to transport guests back to the groovy era with its retro ambiance and nostalgic menu.
I mean, c’mon… Fried chicken + pizza + vinyl tunes + drinks? Sounds like a pretty good time.
Whether you’re a fan of the ’70s or simply looking for a unique dining experience, Seager & Sons’ blend of nostalgic charm and contemporary cuisine makes us want to bust out our parents’ old 8-track tapes (if you’re too young to know the reference, google it).
The interior features wood paneling and avocado green leather seating (obviously), and terrazzo tabletops, complemented by vintage records, guitars, and lo-fi stereos. The dimly lit, wraparound bar serves as a focal point, offering a cozy setting for patrons to enjoy their meals and drinks (perhaps while discussing the best and worst tunes of the Disco era).
The vintage concept is the genius idea of 33 Restaurant Group, who brought us a couple of our other faves along The Boardwalk – Suburban Yacht Club and Urban Bear Brewing Co., not to mention they own Taverna Rossa over in Plano and Cadillac Pizza in McKinney.
Menu Highlights
Get ready for hand-stretched pizzas, crafted with fresh ingredients, fried chicken, prepared to crispy perfection, and oven-roasted sammies on house-made focaccia bread.
Appetizers options include crab rangoon dip and Cacio E Pepe Fritters.
The bar offers unique cocktails like the Banana Bread Old Fashioned and Black Cherry Bourbon Slush, alongside locally brewed Seager & Sons craft beers.
Let’s revisit that pizza we talked about a second ago. One is called “Bohemian Rhapsody” (garlic roasted crimini, marinated tomato, smoked provolone and house cheese, cherry peppers, spicy pomodoro sauce, crispy onion dust, hand-torn basil) and another, “Play That Funky Music” (broccolini, bacon lardons, smoked gouda, whipped ricotta, chili flake, lemon zest, sea salt). Need we say more?
