We love the idea of a homemade family dinner, but let’s be real, there are some days when life is just too busy. (And available time or not, some of us aren’t exactly pros in the kitchen, so there’s also that.)
Is easy, budget-friendly, home cooking the impossible dream? Not at all. In fact, putting a made-from-scratch meal on the dinner table has never been easier thanks to small business chefs who specialize in doing the cooking for you. What’s more, they offer convenient pick-up and delivery options!
Basically, you get the Martha Stewart moment around the dinner table without ever putting on an apron.
Here are four local chefs who will provide a delicious home-cooked meal fresh from their kitchen to yours.

Remember When Dinners
Every week, Chef Allison Elliot delivers crowd-pleasing, family-friendly comfort food right to the doors of Frisco area families. Her menus are full of nostalgic favorites from your childhood, plus inventive twists on traditional staples.
Remember When’s recent menu items include meatloaf and mashed potatoes, taco packs, beef stroganoff, stuffed shells (my favorite), and homemade spaghetti-o’s. Chef Allison also offers soups, salads, and yummy desserts, as well as delicious meal packs for special occasions.
Allison says, “I love what I do because I feel like we help bring families closer together over a meal. These were some of my favorite memories growing up! Mom would make dinner and we would chat about our days. If I can make that part a little easier for busy families, I feel like I’ve succeeded!”
Simply French
Chef Emmanuelle Marchant is passionate about cooking, and about sharing her love of French food with our community. Her business, Simply French, offers authentic, ready-to-eat meals for pick up from her Frisco home.
Chef Emmanuelle has a rotating weekly menu, featuring traditional French dishes, comfort food favorites, soups, and salads. She also offers gorgeous charcuterie platters and delicious desserts (chocolate eclairs, anyone?). Her specialty is authentic French cuisine, like Beef Bourguignon, and chicken, pork, and fish dishes. Her menus also include fresh, healthy sides, and family favorites like bolognese lasagna and chicken alfredo bake.
Emanuelle grew up in a small village near the Champagne region of France where she developed a passion for cooking and entertaining from her parents. She later moved to the United States and trained with the pastry chef at the French pavilion at Walt Disney World’s Epcot.
After moving to Texas, Emmanuelle started Simply French at the urging of her friends. She says, “I wanted to offer homecooked meals with no fillers, organic produce when possible, and from scratch with a French flair.”
TX Cucina Italiana
