Culture A Day Spa: A Small Business with Big Dreams

August 20, 2020 by Stephanie Hanrahan

When you enter Culture A Day Spa, it may be easy to forget it’s a locally-owned small business. This Frisco gem shines like the industry elite it is, with its luxury-grade robes, custom lighting, private dining area, and hydraulic heated tables.

But in spite of its beauty and intricate attention to detail (hello, seasonal fruit-infused water, and a couple’s massage room with walk-in shower), Culture is in fact locally-owned and operated, a Frisco business impacted by the national pandemic just like any other.

Culture A Day Spa Relaxation

Owner Katelin Schebler and her husband Jon decided to open Culture almost two years ago when they saw a great need for a true luxury day spa in north Texas. Katelin, a licensed Esthetician with over 14 years of top industry experience, pulled coastal influences and world-class training to develop Culture from the ground up, foreseeing every detail including the design of its privacy-enhancing layout.

But Katelin’s gift of intentionality didn’t just stop at building design. Her skincare line, KS Esthetics, is developed right here in north Texas as well. Each paraben-free, all-natural product, utilized in every Culture service and available for at-home purchase, took Katelin 10-11 months to make as she hand-selected ingredients, omitted fillers, and artificial fragrances and guaranteed the highest level of legal peptide concentration was included to be effective.

This level of care extends from product to person with the Schebler’s. Katelin can be found in the spa seven days a week, providing ongoing training for her incredibly welcoming estheticians, and getting to know every client by name and need.

Culture A Day Spa received its name because of the Schebler’s true passion for changing the “culture” of the industry, and that’s quite evident by Katelin’s commitment, as well as Culture’s amazingly impressive ratings. After almost two years in business, they have never received anything but 5-star reviews.

Culture A Day Spa isn’t a franchise or corporate chain, it is the American dream. It’s a business born in Frisco and one we can certainly raise up during such challenging times (who doesn’t need a little self-care in the form of a Himalayan Stone massage or Polynesian Pearl Lift facial?).

A first-class experience has always been a top priority for Katelin and her team, and as they implement additional safety measures like staggering appointments and hospital-grade sanitation, you can guarantee to find Katelin front and center, giving guests the care and experience of a big-box spa with a city of Frisco luxury feel.

About Stephanie Hanrahan

As a Sr. Contributing Writer, Stephanie Hanrahan was just your seemingly average Frisco housewife until she grew tired of pretending and took an axe to her white picket fence (also known as making her private journal public). She now leaks nothing but the truth on her website, Tinkles Her Pants, which chronicles her journey as wife to a husband with chronic illness, mother to special needs kiddos, and a woman who often unravels then finds her footing again. Go laugh, cry, and leak with her—one tinkle and tear at a time.
