Join us Saturday, October 15, and Sunday, October 16, for the ArtSeen Tour 2016 in downtown Frisco. As this is the 6th year of the event, the ArtSeen team has a few changes to improve the entire experience.
Unlike previous years where the Tour took you all over the city, this tour will focus on the downtown district of Frisco. The boundary lines fall along Main Street from the Dallas North Tollway to Preston Road. This includes the Frisco Discovery Center, Frisco Square, downtown businesses, the Fresh Paint Studio, and thegallery8680, plus Collin College will also be on the tour.
The reason for limiting the tour geographically is to help the artists have more traffic flow and to help visitors be able to see all of the participating artists more easily. If you are a business within the boundary zone and wish to host an artist, please contact thegallery8680 (thegallery8680@gmail.com) or Ms. Foster (mfoster@freshpaints.com).
Are you an artist who wants more exposure? We want you to apply… Artists must take the initiative to find a fitting location for themselves. Please have your location confirmed by the host before signing up. Artists must agree to exhibit both days from 12-5pm, so make sure your host will also be willing to be open those hours. Also, it is recommended to have at least 2 artists per location to encourage more visitors.
The cost to participate as an artist is only $25, and while most information will be accessible online, the Tour will create a digital file for artists to print and share via email. Posters will be printed to advertise the event, and each artist is encouraged to do everything they can to promote the event. The deadline to participate as an artist is September 1st.
The arts community, along with the ArtSeen Tour team, wants to see the downtown area of Frisco grow as an arts district and be a central place for all artists and art-lovers to connect. It’s time to get creative!
