Not so good news: Rick Springfield won’t be there. I know because I asked. Best news: the headliner is none other than Southlake’s own Abby Anderson!
Abby has opened for artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Billy Currington, Russell Dickerson, Brett Eldredge, and Rob Thomas. Abby has been booked for country’s largest music festivals like Stagecoach, Tortuga, and Country Thunder. And now she’s the headliner for your Melody of Hope Encore! Drive-In Music Festival.
Abby Anderson has been named to The Bobby Bones Show ‘Class of 2019’ and MusicRow’s ‘Next Big Thing for 2019’ among other accolades. After releasing her debut EP in 2018 and her hit single “Make Him Wait” Anderson earned over 80 million streams collectively and has caught the attention of fans nationwide. I’ve listened to her work, and her voice and sound are amazing.
That’s a little about Abby, but on top of that, in addition to many other acts that will be performing, two of Frisco’s own, Ron Bultongez and Grace Tyler, are set to perform.
Who needs Spotify in your car when you can drive up and listen to this line up of musicians?
That’s a rhetorical question. We all know the answer is “no one.” There are actually two ways to enjoy this show because it’s called Melody of Hope, not Melody of I’m Sorry But You Aren’t Allowed To Join Us.
Option 1 — In Person: Encore! will be an exciting event designed to allow a socially-distanced, in-person concert experience showcasing some of DFW’s finest hand-picked talent.
Option 2 — Watch the show live: For those unable to join live, in person, and in your vehicle, there will be a high-quality stream of the event, rich with opportunity to bring bands, brands, and fans closer than ever before.
There was going to be a third option where you could drive past my house as I played my unique acoustic covers of ABBA hits, but that idea was halted temporarily. By everyone.
Hope starts at home. Or in your car. Or via your laptop.
