Ready, set, bid, Frisco!
Galleria Dallas continues to expand its community outreach through its newest partnership with Make-A-Wish® North Texas. The shopping and lifestyle center is preparing for its newest installation, Art of a Wish, an exhibit featuring more than 15 works of art by children who are battling critical childhood illnesses.
Wishes Can Come True
The art on display will also be available for purchase through an online auction. Guests may bid on their favorite piece at www.WishesAreWaiting.org, with all proceeds going toward making another child’s heartfelt wish come true.
Traditionally, wish art such as this would have been auctioned at local events, but COVID-19-related precautions have created opportunities for the foundation to pivot. Galleria Dallas looks to raise at least $10,000 to continue bringing hope, today and tomorrow.
The exhibit will be located on Level I near Apple from August 6 – 30, 2020.
Additionally, Galleria Dallas’ PALS kids club program has partnered with Make-A-Wish North Texas to help spread hope and encouragement for the new school year.
The first 50 kids who pick up a new Mission 3: Knowledge is Power passport at the Guest Reception Center on Level 1 will receive a free limited-edition Back-to-School Wish Bear purchased by Galleria Dallas beginning Aug. 1.

Make-A-Wish North Texas
Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because every child deserves a childhood. Here across North Texas, we work to make this a reality in the 161 counties we serve.
Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness. This year, we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of the organization in 1980.
Since then, Make-A-Wish has become the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the United States and in nearly 50 countries worldwide. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and more than 34,000 volunteers across the U.S. unite to deliver hope to wish kids and their families when they need it most.
In total, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 330,000 wishes to children in the U.S. and its territories and close to 12,000 wishes across North Texas. For more information about Make-A-Wish North Texas, visit ntx.wish.org.
