Where to Hit the Dance Floor in and Around Frisco

September 13, 2018 by Brandon Novara

Frisco has almost everything when it comes to entertainment. Great restaurants, clearly great sports organizations, bars, shopping, community events, live music venues and more. But where do you go if you want to dance? Or see one of the hottest DJ’s without driving to Dallas?

Does Frisco have anything to offer like that? Is there anywhere close to home, where you can hit the dance floor with friends and dance until you can’t dance anymore?

We’ve done the research for you, and determined that YES, there are places to bust a move in and around the Frisco area.

VNYL

The Shops at Legacy is well-known as a hot spot for dining , shopping and sipping. Now the shops has one more attraction that makes this a true night-on-the-town destination.

concert band dancing clubVNYL nightclub opened it’s doors back in June (formerly The Brixton) and has made a strong impression thus far. VNYL offers something that no other place outside of Dallas has, and that’s a true nightclub focused on dancing, great DJ’s and a party every time they open their doors.

Once inside, the beautiful club takes you away to another place outside of Plano. Being the premiere nightclub in the neighborhood, the crowd is drawn from the Plano, Frisco, Addison, and McKinney areas ranging in age from 21-40. Although it sits in the suburbs, they manage to generate the same atmosphere of the hottest clubs in downtown Dallas.

VNYL brings in some of the best DJ’s in the area and national acts as well. The two story club gives the patrons plenty of options to not only dance, but to sinply kick back and enjoy the vibe. From bottle service, to a variety of table reservations, VNYL makes it possible for those that want to be seen to do just that, while those who wish to enjoy the music and drinks can sit comfortable to do so.

VNYL is open Thursday – Saturday, 8:00 pm – 2:00 am, with no cover (unless it is a special event). VNYl also offers a great space for corporate and privates events with catering options for parties of 20-3oo people. To reserve a table, book an event or see a calendar of DJs, visit their website.

However, by nightfall…the Concrete Cowboy literally transforms into a pumping, live DJs and dancing environment. Offering table reservations and a huge bar, it’s definitely a place to “see and be seen” in Frisco.

The Revel

The Revel has a new name but it’s the same great venue for live music and a great place to dance. And it’s close to home, located on Preston Road.

The Revel has space, music, and energy for a night of rocking out, or if getting on stage if your thing, check out their karaoke Thursday nights.

Concrete Cowboy

You may recognize the name from Dallas, Austin, Houston or Chicago. The Concrete Cowboy is right smack in the middle of The Star here in Frisco. Concrete Cowboy is surrounded by football, so naturally, the Dallas Cowboys are a reflected not only in the theme but everything that they do.

By day, it’s a great place for lunch with friends or colleagues. Overlooking the Tostito’s Plaza on Cowboys way, the balcony is family-friendly and the environment upscale-meets-casual.

Sambuca 360

Drink, dine, and dance. Sambuca 360 has been a large draw at The Shops at Legacy for years. From the variety of drinks, delicious food, and live music to a night of dancing, the upscale restaurant-meets-live music venue invites you to book a table, enjoy some dinner and cocktails, and check out one of their many notable entertainers.

From acts like the Missing 3 and Emerald City, they host local artists, cover bands, DJs and more. Any evening is great for dining, drinking, and enjoying the show, but on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, high-energy bands, dynamic light shows, and gigantic video screens create incredible dance parties. Sambuca 360 makes for a fun night out in the far North Dallas area!

Lava Cantina

Located just outside of Frisco in The Colony, this 18,000 square foot indoor/outdoor live music, concert venue, and restaurant is making a splash in our area. Reminiscent of House of Blues or Hard Rock Cafe, there are 1800 seats and a stage grand enough to feature some really great entertainment. Keep an eye on their Daily Hit List to find out who’s rocking today. They attract some bigger-name national artists from time to time.

Thursday nights they host Latin Night from 10:00 pm – 2:00 am (no cover). Come eat, drink, and dance the night away with some great DJs.
