Arts

“Evita” performed by Theatre Frisco – Through June 18th, Argentina’s controversial First Lady is the subject of this dynamic musical masterpiece. As an illegitimate fifteen year old, Eva escaped her dirt-poor existence for the bright lights of Buenos Aires. Driven by ambition and blessed with charisma, she was a starlet at twenty-two, the president’s mistress at twenty-four, First Lady at twenty-seven, and dead at thirty-three. Eva Peron ‘saint to the working-class, reviled by the aristocracy and mistrusted by the military’ was destined to leave a fascinating political legacy unique in the 20th century. Told through a compelling score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop and jazz influences, EVITA creates an arresting theatrical portrait as complex as the woman herself.

“MUSIC IN THE SQUARE 2017”Every Friday night in June from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, this FREE summer event is held on Simpson Plaza featuring an amazing line-up of talented musicians. Bring friends and family, grab a picnic, some blankets or chairs and enjoy listening to a variety of musicians as the sun sets!
Summer line up:   June 9th – Blue Hat –  Blue Hat brings together five musicians of different backgrounds and genres that will surprise and entertain you. The variety of songs and talents is truly unique in this area. They specialize in fun music, including pop, rock and jazzy country.

Sports & Entertainment

Night of Improv – Frisco Improv Players is an improvisational comedy troupe that specializes in game-based comedic performances, similar to those seen on the syndicated television show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Their fast-paced, interactive improv is popular with all age groups. Tonight, we’ll be at a NEW location on a NEW night for ONE SHOW ONLY. Come play with us at Expedition Frisco!
