Monday, July 3

Frisco RoughRiders vs. Springfield Cardinals – First pitch thrown at 7:05pm in Dr. Pepper Ballpark.

Frisco Freedom Fest – Enjoy great food, music and fireworks during one of North Texas’s biggest Independence Day celebrations!  7:30 p.m.: Dachshund Dash – As if the bright lights and great music aren’t enough … don’t miss the hilarious fun of the Dachshund Dash right before the 5K starts. It might not be the Kentucky Derby, but expect a nail-biter as these energetic little competitors chase the title of Top Dog in Frisco! 9 p.m.: Hotter ‘n Firecrackers Glow Run – Join the community for the annual Hotter ‘n Firecrackers Glow 5K Run! Participants will light up the night as they race through Frisco Square sporting flashing LED lights and their brightest fluorescent gear. Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing ‘glow’ effect, energized by the beat of electronic music.

 


Tuesday, July 4 – Happy Fourth of July!

Frisco Freedom Fest – Enjoy great food, music and fireworks during one of North Texas’s biggest Independence Day celebrations! 4 p.m. – until fireworks end: Party in the Plaza & Taste of Frisco: Party in the Plaza festivities will feature even more of all the family favorites of the past including a Community Stage with local dancers, singers and bands; a Children’s Expo, complete with jump houses, face painting, strolling entertainers and games; plus the Hometown Hero Exhibit, which showcases Frisco’s finest, the men and women of our Police and Fire departments, along with the equipment they use to help keep our community safe. If you get hungry, we’ve got you covered. The Taste of Frisco features fare from local food vendors. 7:30 p.m.: FC Dallas vs. DC United: Cheer on FCD as they take on DC United. After the match, stick around… Toyota Stadium provides one of the best locations for viewing the fireworks show! 10 p.m.: Fireworks Extravaganza: Top off your night with the star of Frisco Freedom Fest, the Fireworks Extravaganza. Following the conclusion of the FC Dallas match, enjoy one of the largest fireworks displays in North Texas! Bring a blanket or lawn chair and sit back and enjoy the show. Fireworks are visible around Frisco City Hall, Frisco Square and from Toyota Stadium. The show will last about 20 minutes.

Sommelier for a Day at Silver Fox Steakhouse – The first Wednesday of each month is “Wine-Up Wednesday” from 5-7 p.m. Guests can help select featured wines for the coming month at Silver Fox Steakhouse. For $20 per person, guests will sample six wines selected by the restaurant’s Wine Director paired with hand-passed hors d’oeuvres. Each month features a new theme. For July, 2017 the restaurant will showcase wines of France.  Six wines will be poured and served alongside tasty passed treats. Arts Pulse – Join us for our first Arts Pulse, an open forum hosted by Frisco Arts! Whether you’re a business owner, student, parent, teacher, volunteer, or artist, share YOUR thoughts about the challenges and experience of arts and culture in Frisco. We want to know what’s working, what’s not working, and what you hope to see in the future. From 7pm to 9pm on the 4th Floor Vivian McCallum Conference Room in Frisco City Hall, participants will start in small groups and end in a large group discussion. Input will be compiled into a State of the Arts report to be shared with city leadership. Frisco Arts membership not required for participation at Arts Pulse. This FREE event is open to all! Frisco Rotary Farmers’ MarketPay a visit to the Frisco Farmers Market, located on 4th Street in Historic Downtown Frisco, just between Main and Elm Streets. Every Saturday through October 21st, from 8am to 1pm or “sell out.”

Frisco Starfest – Recurring monthly on the 2nd Saturday, the Texas Astronomical Society holds one monthly Star Parties where members and guests can get together to observe and educate others about the night sky. Look at planets, stars and other celestial wonders at Frisco Starfest, taking place the second Saturday of each month at Frisco Commons Park.

We’ll practice various techniques such as glazing, layering, pouring, adding modeling paste and variety of texture mediums to your paint, and more.
