Martin Luther King, Jr. Exhibit – From 11am-7:00pm at the Frisco Public Library, this free event is open to all ages. Visit the 2nd floor Children’s Program room to experience the history and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with an interactive exhibit.
MLK Day Open Jump at Pump It Up – From 12pm to 4pm, children ages 2-10 are only $8/child and parents are free! Fun for kids on their day out of school! No reservations are necessary, must participants must wear socks, and parents must remain on-site. Glow Jump will be in effect from 12pm – 2pp, with Buddy Bounce running 2pm – 4pm.
Little Humans Big Fun – Frisco’s newest indoor play space has open play hours on MLK Jr Day! Open 9:00am-5:30pm. Little Humans Big Fun is an interactive and engaging indoor play area for children ages 18 months-8 years featuring STEAM-powered activities. It’s the perfect destination to unleash your child’s boundless imagination while recharging YOUR batteries!

Heritage Association 20th Anniversary Year Kickoff – On January 17th, join the Heritage Association of Frisco as they kick off their 20th anniversary year from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Frisco Fine Art. Guests will hear a recap of the past 20 years and plans for this coming year while enjoying light bites and select drinks. As a special treat, local artist Zahra Jahanyfard will unveil an original portrait in tribute to the late Pete Hosp, who served on Frisco city council, FISD school board, and several boards and committees for city development and youth services, as well as a former director of the Frisco Heritage Museum. The event is free and all are welcome to attend. Frisco Fine Art is located at 7227 Main Street.

Harmony After the Holidays – On Saturday, January 20, 9am-12pm, the Frisco ISD Student and Parent Empowerment program continues their monthly series of seminars open to students in grades K-12 with their parents or guardians. Each month features a new topic and presenter to enrich the lives of children and give parents a toolbox for helping their kids navigate their school years and beyond. January’s program, Harmony After the Holidays, will explore the way your family functions, the family’s values, and discuss and assess any areas for improvement. The program meets one Saturday a month from 9 a.m. to noon at the Student Opportunity Center, 6928 Maple Street in Frisco.
Wakeland Wolverine Theatre Presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast – The talented students of Wakeland High School’s Wolverine Theatre Department are proud to present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast! The Dallas Opera returns to Frisco on Saturday, January 27th from 2:00-2:30pm, this time with a children’s opera! Bring the whole family to enjoy this classic tale with an opera flair! - Trick-A-Trout – On Saturday, February 10th, starting at 8am, the Trick-A-Trout Kid Fish is a great opportunity for first-time anglers to try the sport of fishing. Because only kids up through age 16 will be allowed to fish for the first three hours, they will have a chance to hone their fishing skills. The average size of the fish will be eight to ten inches and the daily bag limit is five per child. 3,000 Rainbow Trout are released in the Frisco Commons pond, located north of the main pavilion. 8000 McKinney Road. Please bring your own fishing gear and bait. Bring your own drinks and snacks. Everyone is encouraged to keep what they catch since trout cannot survive when water temperatures rise in the spring. This event is rain or shine.
