State and County Primary Election Candidate Forum: 6:30pm-8:30pm. Candidates from both parties have been invited. The forum will be split into Democratic Primary and Republican Primary portions and candidates will be participating in the forum with the candidates running in their specific primary to allow the best comparison of candidates within a primary election. The event is free and open to the public. The forum, presented by Frisco Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs, will be held at Grace Church Frisco, 8440 Grace Street, which is just behind City Hall.

FISD and PTA Present SCREENAGERS Documentary: On February 15, Frisco ISD, in partnership with the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs, is hosting two screenings of the award-winning documentary Screenagers: 10:00am at Frisco Bible Church, and 7:00pm at Liberty High School. Parents, staff and students (aged 10 and older) are welcome. This documentary is designed to help parents learn how to balance their children’s screen time in a tech-filled world. Delaney Ruston, a physician and social change documentary filmmaker, made the film after becoming concerned about her own family and the digital world. The documentary reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. RSVP here.

Frisco Youth Theatre Starcatchers: Frisco Youth Theatre is excited to announce their Starcatchers Therapeutic Arts program with an Ariel and Friends production! The class kicks off on February 15th and will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 at Power House of Dance Frisco. The program will culminate with a performance at the North Texas Performing Arts theatre at The Shops at Willow Bend on Saturday, April 21st. The Patriot Cup: 12:00pm. The Patriot Cup lacrosse tournament returns to Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Featuring a full day of games showcasing powerhouse collegiate Division I teams, Villanova vs. Yale. Also featured will be four of the nation’s top MCLA teams, SMU vs. Arkansas and Texas vs. Oklahoma. Proceeds from the event will benefit HEADstrong Foundation, a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to research in finding a cure for blood cancer and to help families affected by the disease.
