With all of the new commercial development in Frisco, it can be a challenge to keep up with the latest shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.
Not to worry, we’ve got you covered with listings of the best brunches, patios and live music venues in Frisco. Earlier this year, a new food and entertainment venue was added to the mix when The Reservoir opened off Preston Road in Frisco. And if the sounds of the stage are anything to go by…I’d say this place is a hit.
The Reservoir opened its doors in January with a simple and very welcome concept. Their goal was to create a venue that’s inviting to people of all ages and interests, where they can expect delicious, upscale, classic American food, watch sports and listen to live music. In addition to their indoor stage and restaurant, they have a large outdoor space that can also be used for live music and events.
What’s on the Menu?
You can expect far more than a simple bar menu here. The Reservoir offers a large, full menu with a variety of options. They have everyone covered with lighter fare, handhelds, flatbreads, salads, upscale entrees and delicious desserts. Starters include Fried Pickle Chips, and Famous Reservoir Wings. Try the Blue Cheese Wedge salad, the “Reservoir Dog” or the 12 oz Black Angus Rib Eye, among other delicious American cuisine options.
Who’s on the Stage?
The Reservoir books a wide variety of performances, everything from classic rock to country to current hits. Recently they had a Metallica cover band that played all of the legendary band’s hits. Another night they had Latino night and offered free dance lessons in addition to the featured band.
Dallas favorite, Le Freak (the go-to band for 70’s disco) has made multiple appearances, as well as The Rock Show (classic rock cover band). Dallas Dance Band, a high energy band sure to bring you to your feet is a regular at The Reservoir, as is Michael Hix and the Holla, and The Mullet Boyz.
This season we can expect more tribute bands bringing the sounds of Heart and Van Halen.
The Atmosphere
With Frisco continuing to grow its live music scene, The Reservoir maximizes use of their space with the huge patio and performance area outside in addition to the indoor stage. This allows them to have multiple acts going at once as they grow and host a variety of events.
Recurring Events
While good food and live music is what they’re best known for, The Reservoir has a lot of specials and recurring social events that make it a great place to hang out and relax any day of the week. They’re open until 2:00am, offering a great place to enjoy a fun night out without the burden of a long drive home.

Recently they hosted the 4th annual Frisco Crawfish Festival and from what we’ve heard, it was a huge success. They have plans to host a large event of this kind at least once each quarter (they’re currently working to schedule those for the rest of the year).
