As a Frisco ISD teacher, I’m always on the lookout for a good deal. It seems I always run across an opportunity to get a teacher discount any time that I don’t have my ID with me! In turn, I’ve learned to carry my Frisco ISD teacher badge with me everywhere I go…just in case!

Fellow teachers, I’ve gathered for you a list of both local and national opportunities to obtain a (well-deserved) discount. If you know of other local or national businesses offering perks or discounts to educators, please tell us in the comments section below!

Remember, it’s always a good idea to obtain clarification about your discount before attempting to use it just in case there are rules like “no discounts on alcohol.” (Not that I’m aware of any teachers who would know from experience!)

Which National chains offer discounts to teachers?

Fellow teachers, did you know that we get discounts on select cell phone plans (dependent on your provider) since we’re considered government employees? Call your provider and ask!

Generally speaking, it doesn’t hurt to ask pretty much everywhere… Note that some of the national chains have rules about the teacher discount not being applicable on top of other sale prices so be sure to ask prior to making a big purchase!
