“Banana Cream Pie Murder” excerpt on Amazon.com:

A romantic seven-day cruise is the perfect start to bakery owner Hannah Swensen’s marriage. However, with a murder mystery heating up in Lake Eden, Minnesota, it seems the newlywed’s homecoming won’t be as sweet as she anticipated . . .

After an extravagant honeymoon, Hannah is eager to settle down in Lake Eden and turn domestic daydreams into reality. But when her mother’s neighbor is discovered murdered in the condo downstairs, reality becomes a nightmarish investigation. Victoria Bascomb, once a renowned stage actress, was active in the theater community during her brief appearance in town . . . and made throngs of enemies along the way. Did a random intruder murder the woman as police claim, or was a deadlier scheme at play?”

The private author reception, hosted by the Friends of the Frisco Public Library, gets cooking at 6:15 pm. Attendees will receive an autographed copy of “Banana Cream Pie Murder” and get to mix and mingle with Fluke while enjoying light refreshments. Tickets are $35 and are available at friscolibrary.com/authors.

We’re so excited to welcome Joanne back to the Library,” says Donna Schmittler, president of the Friends of Frisco Public Library. “An evening spent learning about her inspiration and writing process is a treat on many levels!”

Fluke will whet fans’ appetites with a brief presentation at 7 pm, then open the floor to questions. This open-to-the-public portion of the evening will take place in Council Chambers, City Hall. The evening’s final course is a book-signing and tasty treat. Fans can purchase “Banana Cream Pie Murder” at the event and enjoy a banana cream tart while waiting to have their book signed!
