Student Artist Contest Winners for the Official Arts in the Square Poster

In collaboration with the Frisco Independent School District, Frisco Square presents the 7th Annual Arts in the Square, with proceeds going to the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services.

Arts in the Square

Frisco Square transforms into an outdoor fine arts and crafts gallery during Arts in the Square, April 2-3, 2016 with free admission and parking. Exhibitors may apply through the “Zapplication” website by visiting friscosquare.com/aits. The application deadline is January 15, 2016.

This is also the 7th year of the Arts in the Square Poster contest.  Every year, students from Frisco ISD participate in four categories according to grade, K-12. (A winner is selected from each group – K-3rd – 4th-6th – 7th-9th – 10th-12th). Each selected winner will win a cash prize of $100!

Congratulations to the 2016 Student Artist Winners!  Out of 88 entries, these artists took 1st Place in their categories!

Category K-3rd Grade

  • Kinder Student:  Jackie Marzollo
  • Teacher:  Michelle McClendon, Sparks Elementary

Category 4th-6th Grade

  • 5th Grade Student:  Breanna Oudthone
  • Teacher:  Jennifer Nodes, Purefoy Elementary

Category 7th-9th Grade

  • 7th Grade Student:  Bayli Brown
  • Teacher:  Jenna Duncan, Roach Middle School

Category 10th-12th Grade

  • 12th Grade Student:  Darci Massey
  • Teacher:  Jennifer Fronterhouse, Lone Star High School

Winners in each category will be included in the final poster design.  The Arts in the Square 2016 committee will choose the top 3 finalists for the Arts in the Square 2016 Frisco Independent School District Student Poster Competition.  All posters are designed by students from the FISD Career & Technical Education Center – Graphic Design School.
