If you love shopping or flea markets, you’ve got to get into the Frisco Mercantile with over 38,000 square feet of individually owned mini-stores. Bringing together the finest artisans, collectors, and designers in the area, shop for antiques, art, collectibles, and more in a unique, boutique setting.
With over 200 different dealers, Frisco Mercantile has a wide variety of unique shops and boutiques offering so you can find just about anything you’re looking for, including a little of your own history.
Me: “I had that when I was little!”
Me: “Wait–I have that now. How much is it worth?”
Me: “LOOK a “1st” album by the Bee Gees! I’m still totally in love with Barry Gibb!!!”
Voice inside my head (i.e. Lame other person): “Stop doing that and put it down, that’s why you never have cash on you.”
Word of warning: Do NOT go to shop at Frisco Mercantile with someone who is reasonable. It’s no fun. I really wanted the $12 each Thermos plastic glasses I had as a child. And, that’s why I don’t have any twelve-dollarses in the wallet.
It’s hard to not go into sensory overload, and try to grab everything that tickles your fancy. They have so many cool and cute things. All my life, I have wanted a tufted crushed velvet sofa, a Shriner hat, a giant wood cobra with ruby eyes, a plundger style 8-track player, vintage cowboy boots, and a crystal tier chandelier!
While I could compare the Frisco Mercantile to Lula B’s in Deep Ellum, not only would you have to drive 30 miles into Downtown Dallas, you have a broader selection of merchandise right nearby… and, three times the square footage of space and vendors.
The Frisco Mercantile is also more organized. It’s easier to navigate the rows, remember the stall where you saw that “had to have it” chair, and be able to get back to it. Also, extremely helpful staff are always walking the floor to take items you’re carrying off your hands and save them under your name at the front checkout… allowing you to get even more!
Gift wrap is available upon request and they’re open 7 days week with fabulous new merchandise arriving daily. With items from around the world, find your inspiration at the Frisco Mercantile. And, everyone will want to know: Where in the world did you find that?
