September 5-21 – Frisco Community Theatre’s “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”- Black Box Theater
A Musical by William Finn, Rachel Sheinkin & Rebecca Feldman. Director: Neale Whitmore; Music Director: Shane Hurst; Choreographer: Christian O’Neill Houston. This hilarious, Tony award-winning musical tracks the story of six pubescent adolescents, along with their immature adult supervisors, as they compete in a bucket-list spelling challenge. Every performance is distinctive, as four audience members are invited to participate as onstage bee contestants, adding to the comedy. Thematically, this quirky show reveals life as more than victory, and failure as less than a shaper of one’s identity. Tickets: Evening shows $21; Matinees $20; $2 discount for students, military, and seniors 60+ Questions? Contact Frisco Community Theatre: email@example.com OR 972-370-2266
