At the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade tomorrow morning, Santa will make his first appearance of the season. It’s time to plan your visit with Santa Claus in Frisco! There are many wonderful opportunities to meet the big guy this year… Indoors, outdoors…and even with your pet! To cut down on the guesswork, we’ve compiled a list for you, complete with dates, times and links.
Now through December 24th
Generally, the most popular place to meet and greet Santa Claus is at Stonebriar mall, and it’s been a nice tradition for me and my girls the last few years. While some days it can get quite busy as people line up to take photos, I found a mid-week late afternoon or early evening after school was pretty quiet. Even if you don’t want to purchase the formal photo, Santa will kindly meet with you to chat about all things Christmas. It’s highly recommended that you make an appointment ahead of time, as it will dramatically reduce your wait time. Note this year you’ll find Santa at the JCPenney/Dicks Sporting Goods court area…a change from previous years.
There are a few special nights set aside, such as the “Holiday PJ photo with Santa.” On December 8, from 5pm – 8pm, deck the whole family out in festive pajamas and take a fun photo with the big man! Your family pet can get in on the fun, as well. Every Monday from 5:00pm – 8:00pm (November 13 – December 11) you can bring your pet to visit Santa and get that paw-fect memorable picture!
All Santa photos and special events can be booked easily online. Save $5 on photos when you book between Monday and Wednesday now through December 9th.
December 16, 2017, 5pm – 10pm
In addition to the spectacular month-long holiday lights and music show which occurs annually in Frisco Square from Nov 24-Dec 31, Santa arrives in spectacular style on December 16 for a special night with the big guy. He’ll parachute into the Square at 5:00pm to enjoy the all the festivities and to meet with your family. You can visit with Santa at his workshop beginning at 5:15pm and capture a great photo of this fun family evening. Additional details for Santa’s big night in the square and all other CITS happenings can be found here.
