Frisco has been called the best place to live for many reasons. One of the best things it offers families in Frisco, besides the fantastic school system, is a variety of programs for both kids and adults that emphasize health and physical activity.
Recently Ninja Nation opened its doors in Frisco. The third location for the concept (the first two are in Colorado), you can train to be a ninja warrior right here in Frisco!
Inspired by the TV show American Ninja Warrior, Frisco’s Ninja Nation arena offers a new approach to exercise, competition, and all around fun. If you’re not familiar with the television show, it features men and women from all walks of life and every corner of the country (the world) competing to become the next American Ninja Warrior. Very few people have finished the entire course and it’s a true honor to even compete.
What Ninja Nation in Frisco does is take that concept and mindset and apply it to all ages in a fun, athletic, and competitive environment. Just as you’ll see on the TV show, Ninja Nation features a buzzer, sirens, and smoke when you reach the peak…something the fans are very familiar with.
Furthermore, they even feature new technology and unique lighting to provide an American Ninja Warrior-style experience!
World-class Obstacles, Coaching, and Events
Ninja Nation offers you a chance to really push yourself, physically and mentally, while making sure that the spirit of true competition is supported in a positive way. When you walk into the facility you’re greeted by inspirational quotes on the walls, above the doors, and throughout the arena. Even the logo portrays strength, spirit, and movement.
Ninja Nation believes in providing state of the art facilities that create the best environment to play, train, and compete. The new Frisco arena provides a variety of obstacles that are safe, fun, and challenging for ninjas of all ages and skill levels.
The design of the courses looks and feel just like the real thing. As well they should because throughout the company, from the leadership and operations teams to the coaches, you’ll find elite athletes who have participated on NBC’s hit television show American Ninja Warrior. Together they’ve built and designed the Ninja Nation arenas to be the best ninja facilities in the world.
Case in point, Geoff Britten, a seasoned pro on TV’s American Ninja Warrior, serves as Creative Director. In season seven of American Ninja Warrior, Britten hit all six buzzers, becoming the first to complete all four stages of the National Finals. It’s influence like this which makes Ninja Nation unparalleled in its offerings to the community.
How Many Points Can You Get?
One of the coolest features they offer is the NextLevel RFID Band Technology wristbands to track progress for members. Similar to the belt system in karate, the wristbands log your Ninja achievement points. As you gain more points, you’re rewarded with higher level and different color wristbands. With over 350 achievements possible you’ll have plenty of challenges to keep you busy and motivated. This gives all ninjas the chance to compete in a fun way, and to set goals for themselves.
How to Experience Ninja Nation
Ninja Nation offers several options to participate, with drop-in rates, memberships, and unlimited use packages. On Mondays in Frisco, it’s Ninja Night! Coaches review the obstacle course, then participants race for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
They also offer Open Gym daily (see website for hours). Open Gym contains no formal instruction… Just come and enjoy the skills and obstacles of your choice. (Saturdays and Sundays the Open Gym is often used for birthday parties or other private events, so call ahead, check the schedule online or make a reservation to secure your spot!).
Ninja Nation can host corporate outings as well, or you can take advantage of Ninja Nation Mobile, where they bring the obstacles to YOU! Imagine your next group activity or party with Ninja Nation obstacle courses on site!
The Home School Program is one of the latest offerings from Ninja Nation with daily classes available for up to three different age groups all at the same time.
All ages and skill levels are welcome to stop by Ninja Nation Frisco to give it a shot, take a tour, and see what it’s all about. The staff is there to make sure you’re safe but also to help you have fun, learn and succeed in your personal goals.
Ninja Nation is made for fun and healthy physical activity, but don’t forget – these are trained warriors running the business – they’re also serious…and always looking for the next Ninja Warrior to take the challenge on TV! Will it be you??
I was there for at least an hour touring and observing the different courses and challenges. It’s a great addition to Frisco, both for adults looking to challenge themselves and kids with energy to burn after school.
