Proceeds from the Month Long Fundraising Event Raised Money for the New Youth Soccer Field at the Salvation Army of Plano.
Piada Italian Street Food partnered with FC Dallas this December to raise money for the FC Dallas Foundation, supporting their mission to promote healthy and active children. The fast-casual Italian concept raised $5,000 for the foundation throughout the month, with funds allocated towards the purchase of equipment and uniforms for the new youth soccer field at the Salvation Army of Plano.
“This will be the fourth community field we’ve built for local children, and we couldn’t possibly have made it this far without amazing champions like Piada,” said Melissa Reddick, director of the FC Dallas Foundation. “Our kids need more safe places to play, and, together, we are trying to make that happen one field at a time.”
Between December 1st and December 31st, 2015, diners were invited to dine for a good cause and enjoy the Italian food cart favorite, the Piada, with $1 from each Piada sold going to the donation. The wrap is made with a thin crust, handmade dough, which is baked on a stone grill filled with an option of meats, cheeses and/or vegetables. The family- friendly menu and environment provides each customer the ability to customize their meal and watch it be created throughout the entire process. With all natural, fresh ingredients, Piada is able to create healthy, delicious food that does not lack in flavor.
The FC Dallas Foundation strives to positively impact the health and well-being of disadvantaged youth through the sport of soccer. One of the foundation’s main initiatives is the development of well-lit turf soccer fields in areas in need of safe playing environments that facilitate an active lifestyle. By providing services such as free soccer instruction as well as opportunities to experience professional soccer matches at Toyota Stadium, and scholarship funds, the FC Dallas Foundation is committed to supporting the character building of disadvantaged youth.

ABOUT: Piada Italian Street Food
Piada Italian Street Food began as an idea scribbled on a napkin during a visit to Rimini, Italy. Our Chefs found distinct charm in the family operated food carts and corner markets scattered throughout the streets of the city where the aroma of fresh basil, hand crafted cured meats and homemade cheeses saturated the air. This trip began our obsession…our inspiration…our mission to bring this experience back to the United States. We opened our first Piada restaurant in 2010 with a mission to create fresh, modern Italian food focused on the preparation of high quality ingredients and attention to simplistic cooking. Today’s consumers are looking for healthier, better quality food with convenient, fast delivery to accommodate their hectic lifestyles. Piada was created with the belief that you don’t have to sacrifice quality and flavor for speed and value.
