The Rail District in Downtown Frisco has everyone buzzing lately and excited about somewhat of a renaissance taking place. Beautiful historic homes, European style squares, alfresco dining on patios and a whole host of new stores and restaurants are a part of the plan to create a wonderful destination in the heart of historic Frisco.
New home construction by Almega Development is underway as well. Meet the developers who plan to add to the character of the area and present one-of-a-kind homes just a couple of blocks from Main Street.
Almega Homes in Frisco’s Rail District
Tommy is originally from Milwaukee but has lived in North Texas for over 20 years. Also graduating from UT at Austin as a Finance Major, he has 19 plus years experience in Corporate Finance and more recently in real estate development.
Having been close friends for over 10 years they decided to embark on a chance to go into business together. With their combined experience and background in real estate finance and construction, Almega Homes was born, with a vision of building and creating quality unique properties. Justin shared
A year and a half ago, we discovered an opportunity to help revamp the downtown Frisco area and could not be more excited to help pioneer that movement. These three beautiful modern farmhouse/craftsman style homes will be the first new construction single family residences in downtown Frisco in a very long time.
Located at 6th and Pecan, Almega homes recently broke ground on this large corner lot and are currently finishing the installation of the infrastructure. The names of each model home are beloved family members of Justin and Tommy. The first of three modern farmhouses to be constructed is ‘the Madison’, with ‘the Diane’ and ‘the Grace’ following.
When I met Tommy and Justin at the site of their exciting one-of-a-kind development, they shared,
There are many exciting new projects coming to the downtown area and we are absolutely thrilled to be a part of a dynamic growing community.
The Features of the Homes
Interior finishes include nail down hardwoods, solid core doors, Thermador Appliances, freestanding tubs, and vaulted ceilings. The future homeowner will have the opportunity to consult in the finishing phase, making for a truly custom home. No detail will be forgotten and the buyer will work with the builder to finish it exactly how they want. Justin highlights,
The promise we make with these homes is that someone will purchase something unique never to be duplicated.
The 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 half bath home designs are first of their kind in Frisco. If you’ve lived in the Dallas area for a while, you might compare them to homes built in the M streets and Bishop Arts area. Homeowners will live steps away from shopping and restaurants.
The homes feature an outdoor backyard patio with wrap-around covered front porch, a second-floor master suite, and two car detached garage.
It’s expected that these homes will appeal not only to families but also young professionals who want to be in the heart of downtown and yet close to Dallas North Tollway connections.
Almega Homes is working with engineers and architects on another mixed-used project in the Rail District, as well. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements from these entrepreneur developers coming soon.
