Live Music Showcase at Frisco Fine Art Gallery

Without having a traditional concert venue, two arts nonprofits are partnering to host a live concert in a highly sought-after art gallery in the Rail District. Melody of Hope and Frisco Arts will host their 2nd LIVE MUSIC SHOWCASE event Saturday, July 14th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Frisco Fine Art Gallery.

Frisco Fine Art is Frisco’s biggest art gallery specializing in decorative art, abstract, contemporary, and traditional, as well as sculpture and art glass.

Additionally, the world-class art gallery has rapidly become one of the most sought-after locations for events, serving as a prime location for everything from weddings and book signings to corporate gatherings and fundraisers.

The gallery sincerely wants to be a part of the Frisco community, serving as a resource and supporting local nonprofits, civic events, and the arts. This summer, Frisco Fine Art is hosting a series of summer camps for kids, and they recently opened their doors to the public for a 4th of July party. This the second year Frisco Fine Art will host the Live Music Showcase with Frisco Arts and Melody of Hope.

The goal of the showcase is to give local artists the opportunity to share their talents and gain exposure in the Frisco community. This is unlike any event Frisco Arts has produced. Tammy Meinershagen, Executive Director of Frisco Arts, describes the live music showcase event as a special experience.

In the past when our events involve music, it has been symphonies, choral music, and opera. To date, we haven’t had that flair of local artists. Frisco Arts proud to help host this unique event that supports our emerging talent from Frisco.

At the first SHOWCASE in February, there was a turnout of more than 150 people representing a diverse group of artists and styles. Some of the genres performed were country, singer/songwriter, and pop. The youngest artist to perform was only 12-years-old.

During this 2nd SHOWCASE, a “People’s Choice” award will be given again to those who bring the most fans. The top winner will receive the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at the citywide Frisco Arts Walk and Run on October 6, 2018, in HALL Park.

This 2nd SHOWCASE in July will start with a new slate of musical artists. Attendees will enjoy desserts and wine while listening to the performers. Plus, peruse all the amazing items in the silent auction provided by Tyson Fundraising.

Supporting the Arts in Frisco is as simple as grabbing a few friends and attending a fun evening of music, art, dessert, and wine at Frisco Fine Art.

Let the music bring hope… Please bring a $10 donation to give at the door. Proceeds will benefit both Melody of Hope and Frisco Arts.

Please RSVP in advance to Barbara@friscoarts.org or via melodyofhope.org/events. Valet parking available.
