Lillian Welch and BLO Vintage Trunk Show Benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

May is National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. In the United States, an estimated 30,000 people are living with cystic fibrosis, a hereditary chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Approximately 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year and more than 75 percent of people with CF are diagnosed by the age 2.

On Thursday, May 5th, and Friday, May 6th, Anne-Marie, founder of Lillian Welch, and Allison Stackpole, founder and lead designer of BLO Vintage, are hosting a special “Trunk Show and Meet the Designer” event that will feature jewelry pieces which aim to raise awareness for this disease.

A percentage of their proceeds for these days will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which funds lifesaving research and works to provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF. Through its efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years.

The whole reason I’m in business is to serve others… I love everything that I do, but that is my ‘why’,” said Anne-Marie.

Lillian Welch offers everything one needs to live inspired and give the unexpected. Proudly features Bella Notte Linens, a garment-dyed and made in the USA line of heirloom-quality bedding, home furnishings and décor, jewelry, home fragrance, stationery, personal care products, handmade goods, original art, and a mix of antique and vintage pieces. Each piece is hand-picked and aims to tell a unique story; every item is selected with the utmost care.

BLO Vintage is a proud supporter of the CFF (cystic fibrosis foundation). From donating their jewelry to hundreds of silent auctions each year, to sponsoring various CF Event, as well as with taking part in various Great Strides walks throughout the country.

The partnership for this event emerged through their mutual love for vintage, history and storytelling. Stackpole’s handcrafted designs have a multi-faceted purpose. Her designs are made with various types of whistles meant not only to make totally unique pieces of jewelry that share a story, but also to serve as a means of protection. Everything is centered around the breath:  ‘BLO…every breath counts’ is the company motto.

From 10am to 8pm on Thursday, and 10am to 6pm on Friday, this special “Trunk Show and Meet the Designer“event comes at a perfect time to collect one of a kind pieces for graduates or moms while also helping advance the awareness of CF.
