LazyPaw Animal Hospitals was founded by husband and wife veterinary team, Dr. Brent Bilhartz and Dr. Julaine Hunter on June 30, 2005 in Frisco, Texas after the couple decided to change the status quo and open their own hospital where both patient AND client needs came first.
The name, LazyPaw, originally intended to be the registered brand and name for our dream Colorado homestead ranch, was a natural fit. Hard work and the desire to give the market what it was clamoring for: affordable, great patient care combined with 5-star customer service, made their dream of an independent, privately owned veterinary practice a reality.
While both doctors have experience with many different animal species, they decided to concentrate on providing the best preventative and interventional medical and surgical care to solely canine and feline patients. Special services include:
- Offering medical-needs boarding, which caters specifically to older pets or those with health needs which preclude or make boarding at your average kennel less than optimal, LazyPaw clients who take advantage of this service have pets which are older and have complex metabolic conditions such as diabetes mellitus and chronic renal failure, diseases which require close, daily monitoring as well as supportive care
- A 24/7 online appointment scheduler: Click on the “Schedule Appointment” button
- Online veterinary pharmacy: Click on the “LazyPaw Pharmacy” button with manufacturer-guaranteed products stored in their climate-controlled facility and shipped directly to clients’ door or available for in-clinic pick up during business hours.
- LazyPaw is certified and equipped to write both national/domestic and international health certificates.
