Photographs have power to shift one’s perspective, often literally, and “Keep Looking Up” is the theme for the Frisco Art Gallery’s exclusively photography show.

Running from May 5th to 31st, the “Keep Looking Up” juried art show  Call For Entry deadline is tomorrow, April 25th.

Keep Looking Up

When one looks up, what does one see? What or who moves upward? The interpretation of this theme is not limited to sky-scapes or skyscrapers.  Email images of your entries by April 25th to Paige Prater, Director of Marketing and Exhibits: pprater@friscoarts.org

Plus, keep your calendar free on Wednesday, May 7th,from 7pm-9pm for a FREE Artist Reception and Panel Discussion in the Frisco Art Gallery & Black Box Theater.  Join the artists and public for light refreshments, ask questions about the works, and view rolling footage by juror, Kelly DeLay, who has been photographing clouds daily for nearly five years in his Clouds365 project.

Other May art events in Frisco

  • “Lend Me a Tenor” – Frisco Community Theater inside BlackBox Theatre through May 11 – Fridays and Saturdays, 8PM, Sundays, 2:30PM; additional matinee, May 10, 2:30PM.  This comedy follows the mishaps of world-renowned tenor Tito Merelli at a Cleveland opera company in the fall of 1934. Crazy circumstances lead the excitable opera manager to believe that he is dead and will be unable to fulfill his role as Otello.  An aspiring singer named Max suits up to replace him, which hilariously complicates the relationship with Max’s and Merelli’s lady-friends, especially when Merelli revives.  Tickets $20;  $18 for matinees.  Call 972-370-2266 or email fct@flash.net for tickets or questions.
