Are you shopping local for “Small Business Saturday?” I shall be in the afternoon, but I thought I’d spend the morning doing it online from the comfort of my couch. In my sweats, with coffee in hand, I’ll enjoy leisurely browsing at a little piece of boutique heaven, here in the heart of Frisco, better known as Jane Divine.
I recently had the opportunity to meet with the lovely Richelle Beesinger, owner/proprietor, of Jane Divine Boutique. With a smile oozing a bubbly personality, she took the time to chat about her latest venture into the world of women’s style.
After working as a Sales Representative and Manager for a number of years for a giftware company, she felt a calling to do something different and was inspired not only by the salesperson within and a love for fashion, but the belief in creating her own destiny. “I’m a mom of two young children now,” she says. “I really didn’t want to be dragging them around stores, particularly when I’m shopping for myself.“
She became a big fan of the ease and convenience of online shopping and figured, “If I feel like this, hundreds of moms must be in the same situation.” So, before long, she established her store earlier this year and popularity has grown far and wide, mainly with the support of their Facebook page and word-of-mouth.
This store offers modern and unique women’s apparel & accessories at a wallet-friendly prices. Her main fans are busy moms who want smart clothes that feel comfortable as they run errands and manage a busy household. Many of her items can move easily from day to night when the need arises.
Her marketing techniques are whimsical and she involves her fans at every opportunity. In researching the latest trends by using “Love it or leave it” posts on Facebook, she thereby gets a feel from her audience on what most women want to see on her clothes racks. Having just recently become a fan of her Facebook page, I took part in one of her Flash Sales which occur every Tuesday & Thursday at 9pm, perfectly timed for when the kids are in bed.
Besides new items every week, she has some great “buy 2 get 1 free offers.” She also had a successful “Stop & Shop” event where shoppers could visit the boutique in person, and she enjoyed meeting some of her loyal customers face to face… an event she plans to conduct more often in the future.
The best part of Jane Divine? Ms. Beesinger offers FREE SHIPPING nationwide. Yes, you heard me… FREE shipping on all purchases. If you live in the local Frisco area, depending on location, she provides a “door-drop” right at your house, or you can choose to pick up from her.
Finally, after incorrectly calling her “Jane” the first couple of times, I asked Richelle about the inspiration for the boutique’s name. With a twinkle in her eye and a little smile, “it’s my wonderful grandmother’s name,” she explains, “who is looking Divine from above right now.” No further explanation was required, but what a wonderful way to honor her name.
Make sure to check out her website, and I dare you to get hooked on her Flash Sales on Facebook. You can also visit her booth at the “Breakfast with Santa” Event on Dec 7th at Frisco United Methodist Church.
