Frisco RoughRiders Post-Game Fireworks
***UPDATE: The RoughRiders’ events have been canceled due to COVID-19.***
Baseball returns on July 3! Although The ‘Riders regular season was postponed, they’re still bringing us some stars and stripes and good baseball this summer!
The Frisco RoughRiders have been granted a temporary expansion team in the Texas Collegiate League (TCL), the state’s first major collegiate summer wood bat league. The 2020 season will feature a 30-game regular season schedule that runs from June 30th – August 2nd. The RoughRiders will play 15 home games at Dr Pepper Ballpark, with the home opener scheduled for Friday, July 3rd.
Catch the post-game fireworks displays on Friday night, July 3, Saturday night, July 4. The kids can see fireworks a little earlier, and you can avoid post-display traffic on the 4th.

Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K and Glow Run

A fantastic Frisco tradition, participants in the Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K and Glow Run will light up the night on July 3 as they race through Frisco Square sporting flashing LED lights and their brightest fluorescent gear. Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing ‘glow’ effect, energized by the beat of electronic music. The run begins at 9 pm.
Frisco Freedom Fest and Fireworks Extravaganza
THIS is how we do the 4th in Frisco! The annual Frisco Freedom Fest festivities on July 3 – 4 feature rides and fun in the Children’s Expo, live music on the Community Stage, a Patriotic Vendor Village, and one of the biggest fireworks spectaculars in North Texas.
The festivities begin on July 3 with the aforementioned Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K and Glow Run, a Corn Dog Eating Contest, and a Cornhole tournament!
On July 4, the fun continues to build with a Party in the Plaza at Frisco Square, the Taste of Frisco, and Sports City USA Amusements and Rides. All events will include social distance protocols.
***UPDATE: All of the events associated with Frisco Freedom Fest have been canceled due to new restrictions related to COVID-19. However, the Fireworks Extravaganza is still ON!***
The fireworks extravaganza will launch from the field north of Toyota Stadium at approximately 9:30 pm and will be visible from all areas around Purefoy Municipal Center and Toyota Stadium. Many families park nearby in any of the retail developments that surround the DNT/Main Street area.
Bring your friends, your folding chairs, and hang out in the parking lot until the show begins. It’s truly spectacular!
Industrial Cigar Co. Block Party
Did someone say Block Party?! Saturday, July 4, 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Industrial Cigar Co. will host the “America AF” block party in conjunction with Brownells, Inc., and Cigars and Guns.
This free indoor/outdoor event will feature celebrity guests, food and drinks, door prizes, and legendary fireworks! Grab your FREE ticket.
The Frisco Rail Yard
One of Frisco’s fave patios, the Frisco Rail Yard, invites you to celebrate America with live music, food trucks, and the Frisco Freedom Fest fireworks extravaganza. Local band Cast Iron Soul will take the stage at 6:00 pm. Come early and stay late to watch the fireworks light up the night sky. More info is available on social media.
