House of Hadley Kate – Picturesque Parties & Events in Historic Downtown Frisco

Anyone who knows me well, or has followed some of my other local articles, knows that I have a soft spot for downtown Frisco.

It would appear I had only scratched the surface on some of my recent drive-by’s. This time I found myself venturing south of Main Street one day to discover yet another quaint house reminiscent of days gone by.

Just off the center of historic downtown Frisco, the car stalled as I took a gasp where my eyes were set upon a cute white bridge leading to 6881 Pecan Street, now better known as “The House of Hadley Kate”.

In pursuit of a unique to Frisco business opportunity, Dana Lee and Lindsey Goodwin have taken this one-time Hair Salon and transformed the house to a more than exquisite event venue.

The two ladies met as their kids were in Kindergarten together and found themselves talking about various business ideas that could be balanced with their busy schedules.  Inspired by their two daughters whom the house is named after – Hadley & Kate, this property lease came up and they jumped at the chance to create something special.

Once acquired, they set about renovating and overcame challenges, like discovering a wonderful leaky roof in the middle of storm season.  However, the end result is breathtaking; fairytale bridge to the entrance, white railing porch, pretty blooming planters, photographer enticing benches under mature shaded trees, vintage furniture and mirrors, chandeliers, tea pots and tea cups worthy of a princess.

Everything has been overseen with a particular vision in mind and excellent attention to detail.  There is even an old church pew now doubling as a pretty seating area for mani/pedi parties or spectator viewing for fashion shows.

The venue caters all types of events for kids and adults (see a full selection on their website ranging from baby and wedding showers to Doll & Me, Popstar, Spa parties.

They’re also great for business lunches, crafting groups, special family milestones, or Girls Night Out. Dana & Lindsey are open to any ideas and suggestions you may have to use their venue and will assist you every step of the way to make it a wonderful success.

“Consider it a one stop shop venue where we will take pride in ensuring there is no stress for the host” explains Lindsey “our staff can be flexible to your needs and just ask that you show up.  Once fine details are sorted in advance we will do the rest”

With all of the parties you can work with Dana and Lindsey on associated items like a choice of themed decorations, balloons, party favors, character appearances and photographers.

You can bring in your own food or they have already partnered up with several local catering firms you can choose from depending on the style of your event. BYOB is also available and maximum occupancy is fifty. Car parking is also a plus at the rear of the home.

Opening with a very successful “Sip n Shop” on May 7th, this has now become a monthly indoor/outdoor event at House of Hadley Kate, where local artists & vendors can showcase their items while members of the public can peruse over nibbles and drinks.

The female duo has also teamed up with Sew Fun Studios to provide sewing parties throughout the summer for children and adults, making items you can take home like Hootie Owls, reversible totes or themed pillows.  Watch out for a “Sip and Sew” event also and follow their Facebook page for information and bookings.

Sitting on the porch of this wonderful house chatting with Dana and Lindsey was like a breath of fresh air and although I was a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle in downtown Frisco, I felt like I was soaking in the country air.

These lovely ladies understand life in Frisco can be a balancing day to day challenge and are committed to offering a wonderful experience for you and your family, friends or business event, no matter what the requirements or size.

Take a drive by 6881 Pecan Street one day and be inspired to host your next event at this beautiful house.
