What began as a 6-bed teen shelter in 1988 has grown into a 48-bed, multi-faceted agency serving at-risk youth and young adults in Collin County.
City House operates the only emergency children’s shelter (known as My Friend’s House) for ages newborn to 17 years and specializes in large sibling groups.
The shelter is safe haven for children and youth placed by Child Protective Services and also serves high-risk runaway youth.
Additionally there are three transitional living homes that provide services and life sills to struggling young adults 18-22 years, and a Youth Resource & Outreach Center specifically for at-risk homeless and unaccompanied street youth.
Offering free counseling services to individuals and families in crisis, City House is the only agency doing what it does it Collin County.
