Gather, Celebrate, and Inspire at Verona Villa

June 22, 2018 by Nicole Barron

While Frisco has become one of the nation’s best places to live, work and raise a family, it’s also recognized as an optimal destination for fans of sports, music, and family-friendly activities. In the coming years, Frisco will have the honor of playing host to countless special moments, life events, corporate celebrations, and milestones for both residents and guests.

At the heart of it all, Verona Villa awaits both residents and guests alike to bring their most treasured moments to life and create memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s a wedding, retirement party, or corporate celebration, all of life’s momentous occasions deserve superior attention to detail and personalization.

verona-villaStrategically located amid fine hotels, restaurants, and a variety of entertainment options, the stylish, 17,000 sq ft upscale event space is located just north of Stonebrook Parkway on the west side of the Dallas North Tollway with easy access to major highways and airports.

Guests are transported to the Tuscan countryside with grand finishes like Italian stone and a barrel tile roof on three acres of landscaped gardens.

A Beautiful Backdrop Built With Love

Owner Jason Young’s decision to create and build Verona Villa was born out of a dream to start a business, plant roots in this community, and start a family.

Jason spent seventeen years in corporate America as a retail executive with Nordstrom focused on creating world-class customer experiences. Originally from Los Angeles, he had 12 different assignments with the retailer causing him to move numerous times, finally landing in Frisco where he was GM of the store at Stonebriar Centre. During that time, he met his wife Christy and together they fell in love with the fast-growing city of Frisco.

Jason_Young_Verona_VillaJason served for six years as Vice-Chairman of the Frisco Convention and Visitors’ Bureau Board. As a result of that experience, and many conversations with family, friends and mentors, Jason thought the Frisco community could use a beautiful backdrop for people to,

  • Gather as family, friends and teammates,
  • Celebrate life’s special occasions, company achievements and friendships, and
  • Inspire people to love deeper, dream bigger and achieve higher.

It was about four years ago that Jason left his corporate job to pursue his dream, his wife pregnant at the time with their daughter Cambria. Amanda Johnson, a colleague at Nordstrom and now Verona Villa’s Brand Manager shared,

After spending a few weeks in Italy, Jason was talking with his stepdad about his former successes and something instantly clicked within him. After some thoughtful deliberation, Jason knew that he wanted to build a venue in Frisco that was flexible to social and corporate events that could provide an exceptional and personalized experience. With tremendous support from the Frisco Economic Corporation, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the community in general, we found 3 acres on the northwest corner of Stonebrook and DNT to make that vision a reality.

The result? A premier destination for people to gather, entertain, and celebrate important personal and professional milestones.

Inspired by the Tuscan Countryside

The Tuscan-style venue sits on three acres of landscaped, country gardens. Constructed of Italian stone with a barrel tile roof, Verona Villa boasts of wooden trusses and beams, a stately staircase, wrought iron accents, and eight magnificent custom-made chandeliers. With a total space of 17,000 square feet that includes two main event spaces of 3,200 sq. ft. each, inside are two uniquely designed areas that can accommodate up to 250 guests and are adaptable for both ceremony and reception options.

The venue features an expansive bridal suite created to make brides feel comfortable and at home, and a groom suite – “the ultimate guy’s room” – complete with a poker table, X-box, and flat screen television.

The Difference is in the Details

Verona Villa is committed to providing a personalized experience from initial tour to event. Upon booking, they’ll sit down with you to create a vision that fits your budget and style, incorporating appropriate vendors to ensure that your experience is seamless.

They want their guests to get caught up in the fun, not the to-do lists.

A personal Verona Villa coordinator will pull it all together through their preferred floral and lighting designers, caterers, musicians, entertainers, and photographers, or with the vendors of your choice. They know that details enhance the experience, and will ensure all selections from linens and dinnerware to staging and dance floor are perfectly suited to the client’s vision and taste.

Verona Villa teamJason and his team are well suited to provide upscale, world-class customer experiences. Amanda Johnson (Brand Manager), Cara Blattner (Director of Sales), and Jason all have backgrounds with Nordstrom, and the exceptional taste and style one would expect as a result. Makenzie Judah (Director of Coordination) is poised and equipped to ensure that everything is taken care of from booking to the last dance.

Young believes that people are excited about Frisco as a destination and he wants to contribute to the continued success. Verona Villa will be another way to introduce people to the city of Frisco, with attendees likely making a weekend out of it, utilizing our local businesses and hotels.

Verona’s Versatility

Verona Villa has hosted everything from high school banquets to 3-day tradeshows, large-scale fundraisers, and elaborate weddings.

During the month of May, they hosted The Mayor’s Roundtable as well as the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Women of Hope Awards Luncheon. This August, they’ll host the “4th Annual Delicious Wishes Collin County” for Make a Wish North Texas.

frisco-arts-verona-villaNot surprising, a venue as special as this one books up quickly, sometimes in advance of one to two years depending on the type of event. Verona Villa is currently booking 2019 and 2020 events as well as 2018 Holiday Celebrations. Amanda says,

Combining superior modern amenities with a unique traditional aesthetic, Verona Villa provides a one-of-a-kind flexibility of space and level of service not found elsewhere, all within an atmosphere of timeless elegance. After breaking ground in September 2015 and opening our doors in October of 2016, we’ve seen everything from weddings, to galas, to charity functions, and much more involving the Frisco community.

Jason and his team aspire to be the destination of choice for people to gather, celebrating important personal and professional milestones. Verona Villa is ready to serve and inspire greatness for your next corporate meeting or life event.
