Temperature
Frisco has a comfort index of 25 out of 100 in the summer months (100 being most comfortable), so yeah, it’s stinky hot here some days. And, while summer is just plain hot, temperatures tend to be stable (consistently hot) with a few cool days.
During the winter months, temperatures are generally mild with the occasional spring-like day. Most years there are several Canadian cold fronts which stop over North Texas, so it might be in the 60’s or 70’s one day, and in the 30’s the next. The cold doesn’t last long, but we can get colder here than you would expect in the December-January-February time frame.
Spring and fall are generally beautiful with cool evenings and mild days.

Rain and Snow
Frisco gets about 39 inches of rain per year and about 3 inches of snow. In total, we get about 79 days a year with some form of precipitation.
In the colder months, Frisco is as likely to get ice as snow which tends to shut things down pretty quickly as most of Texas is just not equipped to handle ice. The good news is that the weather fluctuates so much that ice and snow don’t stick around for more than a couple of days.

The highest temperature on record is 118 F in 1936.
The coldest temperature on record is -7 F in 1930.
The most rain in a single month was 19.14 inches in 2015.
Storms & Tornados
Frisco is technically in the southern region of Tornado Alley, and the tornado risk factor for Frisco is high. Peak tornado months are April and May, but they can occur any time of the year.
We also get a lot of thunderstorms in Frisco which can come up quickly and often produce hail and strong winds.
