This spring in Frisco, the weekend will start on Thursday!
The Frisco RoughRiders announced today their debut of a new Thursday tradition… The Party @ The Yard premiering April 5, 2018! The event will feature DJ Spinderella (of Salt-n-Pepa) $1 beer and more! In the sage words of Salt-N-Pepa,
“Let’s get this party started, let’s get this party started right.”
Starting Opening Night, April 5, the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, will transform eleven Thursday night home games at Dr Pepper Ballpark into the BIGGEST PARTY in North Texas.
The Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard will be the place to be and be seen for DFW’s millennials, singles and young professionals looking to get an early start on the weekend, featuring cheap drinks, live entertainment, unique food options, party games, and mixing and mingling with other 21-and-ups.
An All-Inclusive Party
During each Thursday RoughRiders’ home game, the area of the ballpark beyond the outfield wall will become an all-inclusive party scene. For just $19 per person, Party @ The Yard guests will enjoy all-you-can-eat food selections and non-alcoholic beverages, plus incredible drink specials including $1 beer, $2 crafts and multiple mixed drink offerings. Rotating food trucks and other food options will be available to add additional variety.
Partiers will also have the option to upgrade and float the world-renowned Choctaw Lazy River for an additional $10 per person in April and May, and an additional $20 June-August.
About the Big Kick-Off Event on April 5th
To kick off the first-ever Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard in style, DJ Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa will be in the house to serve as guest DJ and meet and greet attendees on Riders’ Opening Night, Thursday, April 5. Ballpark gates will open at 5:30 p.m. DJs and other live entertainers will return for every Party @ The Yard, where the music never stops playing regardless of what’s happening on the field.
Our goal in creating the ‘Party @ The Yard’ is to go beyond the traditional dollar beer night and create a fresh, new concept that combines the atmosphere of Happy Hour at your favorite bar or restaurant with cheap drinks, a variety of food selections, fresh entertainment and the opportunity to have a great time with other fun, energetic people in a massive open-air environment while enjoying great weather…and maybe even a ballgame,” said Chuck Greenberg, Riders’ General Partner & CEO.
The Party @ The Yard will also feature a beer garden with big screen TVs, café lighting, lounge tables and seating, along with a sound system exclusively for the Party. Not enough? The Party will also add your favorite tailgate games – cornhole, beer pong, giant Jenga, bocce ball and more!

The Deep Ellum Brewing Co. partnership brings one of Texas’ most popular craft breweries into the mix and helps to bring the Party @ The Yard to life. The Riders are also excited to announce a media partnership with the nation’s leading media provider in iHeartMedia. Through this unique partnership, four of DFW’s top radio stations and a host of their on-air talent will also be Partying @ The Yard each Thursday.
The Riders and AMLI Residential, one of the preeminent luxury apartment companies in the nation, are also partnering to provide 100 tickets for each Party @ The Yard for residents of AMLI at the Ballpark.
