Festival of Trees 2014 is a local, community based, juried art exhibit where three-dimensional work (trees and wreaths), along with thematic two-dimensional artwork will be displayed at the Frisco Art Gallery. Design a holiday-themed tree, wreath, or two-dimensional art piece for the silent auction.
From Nov 24-Dec 20, offered by Frisco Arts, the proceeds from sales and a silent auction will benefit CASA of Collin County. CASA promotes and protects the best interests of children who have been abused or neglected by training volunteer advocates to improve the child’s quality of life and serves as their voice within the court system to ensure they are placed in a safe, permanent and loving home.
On Wednesday, December 3rd, join us for a free and public, open-house-style joint reception and awards ceremony will be held in the Frisco Art Gallery from 7-9PM. The silent auction for three-dimensional work will be open Nov 24-Dec 13. Two-dimensional work will be for sale, with 30% of the proceeds going to CASA and 70% going back to the participating artist.
Jury
“Best of Show” winners will be selected by a panel of jurors comprised of Frisco Arts Board Members. Each winner will be announced at 7:30PM in the Frisco Art Gallery on Wednesday, Dec 3rd.
Eligibility
“Festival of Trees” participation is open to any local business, artist, group of artists, or other organization. Work must have been completed by the participating artist/organization/business only.
Frisco Arts is pleased to offer another opportunity to benefit CASA of Collin County and celebrate the holiday spirit in one exhibition in the Frisco Art Gallery!
