The Star in Frisco, with its Cowboys-branded experiences everywhere you turn, aspires to give fans a sense of engagement with the team. And, at least once a year, fans have a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite players, right here in Frisco.
The 2019 Training Camp at The Star, presented by American Airlines, kicked off this morning with a FANtastic Opening Ceremony, followed by the first of five practice sessions to be held in Frisco, all free and open to the public.
The annual event allows fans to not only watch the Dallas Cowboys practice, but they can enjoy an array of “Back To Football” events across The Star campus with activations in The Ford Center, on Tostitos Championship Plaza, and across The Star District.
Activations will include:
- family-friendly “Kids Zone” with inflatables and games
- a bootcamp-style group fitness class
- an outdoor Movie Night featuring Remember The Titans
- Dallas Cowboys alumni autograph opportunities
- Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader autograph opportunities
- special offers from The Star District retail and restaurants
- performances by Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue and Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders
- Live DJ
Admission and parking are free and open to the public for all practices and Back To Football events. Entry is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Frisco’s Fanbase
It’s no secret that our local NFL team is known for its fan equity. In fact, a 2018 study suggests the Dallas Cowboys have the most loyal fans in the NFL.
It was three years ago that the team opened their World Headquarters in Frisco with a promise they would hold at least part of their preseason training camp there in the future. Jerry Jones Sr., Owner, President and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys, says the vision was always about making the players and the Cowboys brand extremely accessible to fans.
And accessible they’ll be, Aug 20-22 at 11:00 am (early lunch break, anyone?) and Aug 26-27 at 5:30 pm. Outdoor activations begin at 9:00 am, the Ford Center opens at 10:00 am, and practice begins at 11:00 am.
More information is available HERE, along with the full, daily schedule of events.
