Easter in Frisco: Egg Hunts, Photos and Family Fun

It’s that time of year again when our fluffy big-eared friend drops by to share Easter Eggs and treats with us! The Easter holiday also marks the unofficial start of spring, warmer temperatures, and a chance to embrace the outdoors before the triple digit heat arrives later in the year. Picnics, park time, sports, boat rides, and of course Easter Egg hunts!

While many neighborhoods organize their own HOA egg hunts, there are also a ton of different events taking place all around Frisco (and many of them are free)!

Egg Hunt Events

26th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza presented by the City of Frisco: On Saturday, March 17th, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Toyota Stadium, 9200 World Cup Way. This free event for families invites kids aged 12 and under to participate in the massive Egg Hunt at 2:00 pm sharp in the fields located behind Toyota Stadium on Main Street. With more than 80,000 eggs up for grabs, bring your Easter baskets ready for filling! Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, balloon twisters and photos with the Easter bunny.

Aqua Egg Hunt at the Frisco Athletic Center:  Saturday, March 24th, from 11:00 am to Noon at the Frisco Athletic Center. Children will gather toy-filled eggs, enjoy crafts, and have the opportunity to take pictures with the Easter Bunny and other roaming characters. A mesh bag will be provided to collect the eggs in the pool, but just remember to bring a basket to take your eggs home. Egg Hunts will be staggered by age (ranging from 2 – 10 years) with check-in for all ages is at 11:15 am. Pre-registration is required for this event and is available online here or in person at the Frisco Athletic Center. Admission includes the egg hunt, crafts, a swim pass for the day and a special treat from the Easter Bunny.

Frisco United Methodist Church Easter Eggstravaganza: On Sunday, March 25th, at 12:15 pm, join in for an Egg Hunt, hamburgers and hot dogs, lunch, train rides, a face painting balloon artist, dessert auction, and silent auction. All proceeds from the auction go to Win Shape Camp Scholarships.

Elevate Life Church Easter at the Cathedral & Outdoor FestivitiesSaturday, March 31st from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, come out for a host of family entertainment and fun. This Easter Egg Hunt will have over 100,000 filled eggs (remember to bring a basket). In addition, you can see a full class truck, car and cycle show, multiple bounce houses and activities plus get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Food and beverages by some of the finest food truck cuisine in DFW. All activities are free and open to the public.

13th annual Easter Family Fun Day at Water’s Edge ChurchMarch 31st, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Exciting games, activities, goodies, crafts, bounce houses, face painting, and of course, the Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter Egg Hunt at Jungle Joes  Friday March 30th 2 – 4pm.  Get ready for the biggest and best indoor egg hunt you’ve ever seen! We’re hiding eggs all over Jungle Joe’s and will have fun prizes!! Participation is free with paid admission!

Easter at The Star Saturday March 31st 11am – Enjoy an Easter Egg hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny.  Later that day at 5pm, Prestonwood Baptist Church celebrates an Easter Service and throughout the weekend enjoy Easter special offers at all your favorite Star Restaurants and stores.

Frisco RoughRiders Spring EGGstravaganza Saturday March 24th 11am – 1pm

Kids Easter Egg Hunt (12 years and under) Coloring & Spring Crafts, Catch on the Field, Playground and Bounce House.  $1 Food & Beverage.  Appearances from RoughRiders mascots. Playground access. Kids will also have the chance to run around the bases just like their favorite RoughRiders players.

Arts, Crafts, and Workshops

Easter Egg Painting Party at Color Me MineMarch 24th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Paint Easter Eggs at the studio and display them year after year! Take advantage of painting stations set up for you to try out a variety of cool paint techniques. Price includes 3 eggs, instruction, and the studio fee. The Easter Bunny will be stopping by for a visit, so be sure to have your camera ready!

Easter Painting at Make Expression: March 29th, 5.30 – 7.30 pm. For Easter, a special mixed media canvas painting for kids aged 6 and up. They’ll create a beautiful bunny on canvas using pom pom, paint, paper and more. The instructor will teach you step by step to help create a beautiful masterpiece.

Young Chef’s Academy Spring/Easter Bunny’s Hut decorating – Timeslots available on March 30th and 31st. Hop into Easter fun and decorate the Easter Bunny’s house with lots of sweet and colorful decorations. White chocolate fountain and refreshments included.

Brookielynns Bungalow Workshops: Why not enjoy some creative downtime and take a Spring Workshop at Brookielynn’s Bungalow? Located in the heart of downtown Frisco, Brooklyn Calloway likes nothing better than to help customers create their own unique treasures in a fun, relaxed environment. In the spirit of Easter and Spring, why not pick up one of her custom wooden name, phrase and word cutouts – ‘Blessed’ and ‘Faith’ are quite popular. You can choose from a huge variety of fonts and sizes and she’s currently hosting a sale for 20% off!!

Portraits with the Easter Bunny

Hop on over to visit with the Easter Bunny at Stonebriar Mall: From March 6th – 31st, see the Easter Bunny in front of the JCPenney/Dick’s downstairs area from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Special photo packages are available, however, photo purchases and reservations are not required to visit the Easter Bunny. On Monday evenings from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, bring your cats or dogs to visit, too, and get a paw-fect photo!

Meet the Easter Bunny at PetSmart Frisco: On March 24th and 25th, bring the whole family and your furry friend to take a cute photo with the Easter Bunny. Receive a free digital photo via email or feel free to take photos on your own device.
